Has anyone played TGX CD Dragon Ball Z: Idainaru Son Goku?

Released in 1994, this game has the historical significance of being (I think?) the first game to feature voice acting and animation, albeit in a limited format. It's also THE FIRST game to feature an animated game version of Head Cha La complete with the song, nearly a decade before Budokai did it on the PS2.

It also looks quite fun as well. REALLY good music too! :)

Has anyone played it before and have any thoughts on how good of a game it is?

I did and I enjoyed it a lot!
The gameplay is little hard at first, as you don't know what to do, but it's actually pretty easy.
You just have to build up the power and choose the attack.

I think that this game can wipe it's ass with Legends on PS1, as it is one of the games where I felt most, that I'm playing Dragon Ball.
Also those straight from the series scenes plus villain's intros never before seen in anime are marvelous.
Best Story mode ever done next to Budokai 1.

Only thing that's killing it for me is the soundtrack. It sounds like Plan To Destroy Saiyans, exactly that weird Japanese techno music frequent in the 90's (who am I kidding, Japanese music except for orchestral one, is god damn weird all the time).

I gotta know man.... how do you actually play the game? I have MagicEngine (the TGFX CD emulator) but I get stuck after I mount the .cue file in one of the virtual drives in Daemon Tools Lite.

Even when I load up the emulator I still can't play the game despite doing this, it just feels like I'm missing one or two steps somewhere.

EDIT- Got it working! Create an SCSI drive and from there it's fairly simple to do.

I played the game a little bit...

I kind wish the Kanz. board or somewhere would start up a group that's dedicated to translating all the untranslated DBZ games that are out there.

Oh, great you did!
To tell you the truth, I don't remember anymore how I made the game work. But I do remember that it was quite an ordeal.

I didn't finished it tough, because during the Cell Games, the game on my saved position started to freeze and it is frozen since.
I think that I can't even start it up again.

Translation:
Well, I would love to translate the Super Butoden game the most as it is doable with SNES roms.

Well, my girlfriend is semi-fluent as she graduated from Japanese studies on university, but she doesn't like anime and will send me to hell with this.
But yeah, she reads books in Japanese and can write as well.
