Question about ordering from Amazon.co.jp

Post by Blastero » Tue Jan 24, 2006 7:00 pm

I was pre-ordering Dragonball Z R2 volume 12 from Amazon, and I had 2 questions.

1. Under the country selection, there is both a "United States", and a "USA". Does it matter which one I select?

2. Is an American credit card usable to pay for the item?

I doubt there's a difference for the USA / United States.

And yes, you can use an American credit card... otherwise, none of us would be buying stuff from there :P. The actual yen price is converted to American dollars at the current exchange rate when it is shipped and charged to you.

I just pick United States.

You can always order from an American company that handles imports like...

I orderd those R2 DBZ DVD's #'s 1-6, I want to eventualy get them all. I'am kinda obsessive like that... :?

Ah, such is true... Places like CDJapan and Play-Asia are both also perfectly fine places to get imports from! The former doesn't carry video games, but yeah!

My only beef with CDJapan is the full retail price charge, plus the shipping fee. XP At least Amazon tries to give discounts every now and then with the prices (when I ordered my first R2 disc, it was originally at 20%..it's now 10% off).

The price you preorder them for is very strange. I just ordered discs 19-21, and they were only 2900 on the final checkout, each. Just keep that in mind, I guess.

My deciding factor was that Amazon has those great preorder discounts. Plus, its a company I'm familiar with, and faster shipping. :)
