Atari didn't make the game, they only published it, just like how a publishing company doesn't write a book, the author does. In this case the 'author' would be Avalanche, while Webfoot is behind the LOG games, DIMPS did the Budokai's, and Spike are the ones who made Sparking! (wow, that's a lot of companies).mictaliano wrote:I'm glad I have this game for collection sake, but the quality of this game just isn't what I expected! Atari could of made something along the lines of 3D Legacy of Goku.
I wish I waited for Sagas to hit the bargain bin!
Perhaps a release like that would give birth to the ultimate 3D DBZ RPG we both wantXyex wrote:Atari didn't make the game, they only published it, just like how a publishing company doesn't write a book, the author does. And, truth be told, now that I've played Sagas, it's not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. I've definately played much worse. It's a better game than LOG1 is, at least. And so far (though I'm only as far as the Freeza fights) it's more fun overall than BT.
What we need is someone to fuse BT and Sagas... (and throw in a little B3 for the graphical flair and leveling systems) and put out a new Action/Adventure game. If done right, it would be a great game. (I mean, just picture BT with an actually good engine, and about 20 guys swarming you...) *sigh* Too bad it's just a dream.

Got it yesterday, finally. The mail took forever. And sadly, no, I've got no one here that'd play it. Just have to wait until I move up to Canada, I'll get Jers to play.Perhaps a release like that would give birth to the ultimate 3D DBZ RPG we both want. By the way, Xyex, when'd you get Sagas? Be ready for the Trunks saga, that's my favorite part of the game. I hope you have a friend along your side.
Only if he turns Friendly Fire on and beats the crap out of you before you two can fight the first "boss". Otherwise, you both can just kick ass together, all the way to the climatic Cell Games. By the way, on the subject of the History of Trunks saga in Sagas, I love the second level, the raining during the traveling with Trunks is absolutely awesome, especially when lightning strikes and the screen color briefly inverts. Kind of reminds me of the raining-battle-damaged arena in Budokai 3. The cut-scenes are fun to watch as well while playing, certainly a hell of a lot better than Budokai Tenkaichi's attempt (just no Japanese VAs optionJerseymilk wrote:You only want me to play so you can show me up.![]()
Not necessarily, you also forget it's the ONLY DBZ Ps2 game to contain Mirai Gohan/one-arm, it's the only Gamecube game to feature Bardock and Broly, and the Namek, Yardrat, and History of Trunks saga selections are pretty damn fun to play through. Also, only DBZ game where you can play the story out with a friend. Hmm ... let's not argue, Xyex just got the game and Dayspring has full fledged confidence on getting it with the first 2 Budokais, it would seem Sagas still peeks interest among the DB fandom.SonGokuGT wrote:$10 is a good price to have a hard copy of the new opening animation... That's the ONLY reason to get this piece of crap.
I'll have to admit that I play Sagas only to come up with fanfic ideas. I've got one going where Mirai Gohan and Mirai Trunks (Young) gent sent back in time to the Saiyajin Saga. Thank you, Co-Op mode! Oh no, he'll still want to "show me up". He gets insanely competitive with video games.Conan the SSJ wrote:Only if he turns Friendly Fire on and beats the crap out of you before you two can fight the first "boss". I don't get competitve. I just get into it. I like video games, and I like having fun playing them. It just so happens the only 2 player games we played were competitive ones, so that's what it seemed like.Jerseymilk wrote:Oh no, he'll still want to "show me up". Heh, I think that's happened to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2. At least a dozen or so of those copies are in the bargain bin at the 'Real Canadian Superstore' (you don't wanna know why). And all the bargain bin prices are $20 or lower. Funny thing...but half of the B2 copies are not Greatest Hits.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:Dragonball Z: Sagas is now 10.00$ for PS2 & Xbox...That's less then a Greatest Hits game, jeez.![]()

You should see the Walmart near me. It has dozens and dozens of copies of Sagas just lying in the bargain bin. I think they were $25 Canadian.Eclipse wrote: Heh, I think that's happened to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2.
