When did you last watch Dragon Ball?

Post by masenko » Wed Jan 25, 2006 5:03 pm

I was just wondering when the last time any of you watched an entire episode of Dragon Ball/Z/GT? For me, I have started a tradition of watching Dragon Ball around 11 at night until I fall asleep. Right now I'm on the episode where Goku got the shit kicked out of him by Piccolo Daimao. So here's the question...When was the last time you watched and what episode???

Watched Tenshinhan vs Cyborg Tao Pai Pai yesterday. I usually watch one episode about every other day, unless I buy a new DVD then I watch the whole thing.

I wish I had such consistant dedication, when I do watch I tend to watch a ton but theres usually a big time period between viewings.

At any rate to answer your question about two weeks ago I recieved an anime corner store order that yielded me several new DB DVDs spo I watched from the 22nd Tenkai'ichi Budokai straight through to the last of my ultimate uncuyt discs.

I watched one today.

The episode where Cell becomes his Perfect form, I'm just watching about 2 a day, watching at a slow pace, usually at night, or if I ain't got nothing to do in the day, gets me in the mood to draw. :D

Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle: about two weeks after the DVD box set came out... mid-Decemeber I think it was(and I'm too lazy to check).

Prior to that, I think it was Bio-Broli when the DVD came out... September or October.

Next will be movie 12 when it comes out.

For the manga: volume 23 when it came out; next will be volume 24 when it comes out.

I watched Dragon Ball last night actually. Well... it wasn't really Dragon Ball, it was Dragon Ball Z, but anyway, it was the episode where Kid Buu blows up Earth. Sorry... but I was watching Funi's version. I really love the song "Ginyu Transformation", and they only play it when something really important happens. 8)

Last time was probably months ago.

I don't own any of the DVDs and it isn't aired on TV any more over here (to my knowledge).

I skimmed through my manga quite recently, though.
Where's the beef?

Oi, I forgot all about the manga.

Well, I bought DBZ volume 2 around two weeks ago, so that's probably when. I'm so far behind on the manga...

I'm going to watch the Bardock Special in Japanese w/subtitles tomorrow. As of yet I've only seen the edited dub version.

Saw the first six episodes of Z in Dragon Box quality. My R2 DVD of the first single DVD came in from Amazon.co.jp. Blown away by the visual quality upgrade as well as the fixed sound (opening and ending now sound like they're in stereo, even if they're not).

I watched Movie 9 and Movie 10 just the other day. Right now I'm reading Volume 18 of the tankobon (Probably on my 8th run of the whole thing.)

It's a coincidence I bought the Dragon Ball Movie Box this month, so I saw those three movies last week. If I hadn't, I had to answer it had been several years ago I had last seen a episode of DB :P

Isn't it an awesome feeling, reading the series from start to finish? I think I've done it at least 10 times. I was currently in the middle of a Saiyan-Cell run, but interupted by the arrival of my three volumes of Toriyama's one-shots. Turns out Amazon decided to ship seperately in order to get most of my items on time. Cashman rocks; I wish it had lasted longer.

As for anime episodes, just this Saturday I watched the first three episodes of Z. If all goes well, I'll be able to watch the next three episodes weekend. If not, I'm going to watch Bardock and Tullece.
