I haven't seen the Trunks special in like forever and I don't really remember this theme, but please tell me this isn't what they actually used for the special? It is the funniest thing I have listened too in a while I have been a fan of the dub music but this is just something else. If anyone owns the special does the English w/ Japanese soundtrack contain this intro? Thanks.
On a side note, I like the actual background music.
Another classic case of shitty rock music placement from Funimation.
No thanks.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

Just spot checked the Double Feature. Yes, the video clip there is the actual Opening theme for both Specials in the American soundtrack. With the JP score, Cha-La-Head-Cha-La is kept for the Bardock Special but Menza's theme is oddly used for the Trunks special.
This track along with 2 other remixes were released on a very limited CD soundtrack release of The History of Trunks. 3 CD's were released, each contained their own remix of the track in question along with some of the licensed music used in the dub like Dream Theater.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"
Oh god, not this song again. I remember coming across it on Youtube a year or so ago (may even be the same upload) and wondering what in the heck was going on with it too. The lyric-less version isn't too bad, I actually sort of like it, but that version with lyrics added into it...yeah...

I've honestly never watched this special in English. This is pretty much exactly what I expected.

I just checked; ENG/JPN replaces CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA with that guitar lead they always use. ...Does that track even have a name?
ENG/ENG uses an instrumental of this with the ridiculous "Draggin Bawl Zeeee" kept in.

Is that on the double feature? I actually never checked, as when I watch that special I only switch to the ENG music for the Trunks finding Gohan in the rain scene
