Amazon.co.uk Xenoverse Pre-Order: No Steel Case..?

I have Pre-Ordered the PS3 version here; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Namco-Bandai-Dr ... +xenoverse, but I can`t seem to find anything about the Steelbook Pre-Order bonus...

I have been trying to find out if GameStop will have the Steelbook case but those jackasses never reply to any of the emails (whereas ShopTo, TheGameCollection, Amazon, etc all do) just to answer a simple question that is either a yes or a no because the German GameStop does have the Steelbook case, if you're interested.

I think I'll just go with the normal plastic case and call it a day to avoid all this confusion.

Wait, pre-orders will also be getting a steelbook? Didn't even know that. I pre-ordered just for the extra character and costumes. But then again, the regular cover's pretty nice and steelbooks tend to not look as eye-catchy...

But it's strange because the only retailer on http://www.dragonballxenoverse.com/ that they have for UK is GAME which doesn't offer the Steelbook either, though if Amazon's telling the truth I might go with them.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, as I was really disappointed when I found this out. I emailed Amazon UK and they told me that they don't offer the metal case. Importantly though, Bandai Namco UK on twitter, responded to someone who asked about it: "In UK, the Metal case isn't available." It was on January 12th if anyone wants to look it up.

Maybe though, the illustration is meant for other EU countries. If Bandai Namco have said it themselves, looks like we won't be getting it unfortunately.

As someone who used to work as a Quality Analyst as a call-center, I can unfortunately tell you that most of the time, the customer service agents do not know what they're talking about. They are often outsourced to countries like India and extremely underpaid, and they get so many questions about so many different things that most of the time they don't even bother checking and just give you the answer you want to hear. They're pretty much just good for answering questions about the site's workings and stuff like that.

I searched through all of Amazon's European branches and only the Italian one mentioned the steel case. More than likely, the steel case was planned but dropped midway through and the Italian branch just forgot to update their listing (either that or they're getting preferential treatment).

Neither Amazon.com nor Amazon.ca say anything about a metal case, so it looks like you're out of luck. Not to mention DLC codes don't generally work between regions, so you're better off getting the European version.
