Top 10 overpowered Feats from the anime
What are the most impressive feats and statements shown/claimed in the anime?
Re: Top 10 overpowered Feats from the anime
ChiChi is more powerful than Super Saiyan Goku, as stated by Roshi.

Buu blowing his breath and eradicating an entire city.

Yeah, this is easily the most overpowered one.KentalSSJ6 wrote:Buuhan having the power to destroy the universe with a scream.

Yep this is the top one.KentalSSJ6 wrote:Buuhan having the power to destroy the universe with a scream.
*Outside Space
Category: ability
People: Majin Buu (evil)
Special Characteristics: Overwhelmed by Vegetto, Buu generated this after going into a frenzy. Distortions appeared in the space surrounding Buu. It seems that this power was also what enabled Buu to escape from the Room of Spirit and Time. This space would cover the living world and wipe out the universe.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Top 10 overpowered Feats from the anime
None of those are really "overpowered" per se when speaking on the series at large.flashback0180 wrote:-Vegetas final flash being faster than light.

In terms of non-ridiculous feats such as battles that we're supposed to accept seemlessly into narrative continuety:
All of the Tenshinhan, Yamcha and Chaozu vs The Ginyu Force stuff.
Garlic Jr being able to do anything against post Nail merger Piccolo.
Kuririn being able to survive and hold off Imperfect Cell.
All of the Yamcha/Tenshinhan vs The Cell Jr stuff.
Goku being able to hold back Buutenks as a Super Saiyan 3.

Gohan making Freeza use his 100% power to fight.

I don't think this one really qualifies.Blade wrote:Goku being able to hold back Buutenks as a Super Saiyan 3.
We see Goku dodge one punch (Gohan was beat up and restrained by Buu's Galactic Donuts, and he was able to dodge a Kamehameha; Goku, fresh and uninjured, dodging one punch doesn't really ping for me).
Then he blasts Buu away (causing no observable damage; the fact that he even creates distance between himself and Buu isn't out of line as we've seen this sort of thing before between characters of wide power disparity, notably 60% Frieza v SSJ Goku and Tien v Semi-Perfect Cell).
Then he unleashes a stream of ki blasts (that kicks up a magnificent cloud of dust and accomplishes nothing).
Then Buu rushes him and almost gives Goku a knee to the face (which Goku tries to guard against), but instead blasts the area where Gohan is looking for the earring (showing that he is overwhelmingly strong enough to both engage Goku at close range AND be able to attack Gohan at long range without interference; i.e., the manga implies that Goku would be spinning his wheels trying and failing to hold Buu off, and the anime outright confirms it).
Then he and Goku go to high speed, and all we see is Goku being driven back or taking hits (which implies that even as overwhelmingly powerful as Buutenks is and as guaranteed as Goku's defeat is, it still takes some doing, which the manga implies is the case by having Goku still rev up to SSJ3 in the first place as opposed to just teleporting out of the way).
Then he knocks Goku to the ground and goes to finish him off and the fusion times out. (The manga establishes that the time running out was Goku and Gohan's only saving grace, and the anime again confirms this.)
The only thing really out of the ordinary is the Funi dub having Goku imply he's stronger than Buuccolo, but I don't remember what the subtitles said.
On topic: Roshi declaring the Kikoho to be beyond the Kamehameha based on a tournament-arena-sized hole in the ground, when there's currently a distinct lack of moon at the moment (although, not sure which of those two really qualifies as the over-powered feat).
Also, the Black Star Dragon from GT. Vegeta and Nappa were too powerful for Shenron to kill with a wish, but it takes Goku powering all the way up to SSJ4 to overcome the Black Star Dragon's magic? That is far more than just "twice as strong".

Goku putting up that sort of fight at all is amazing and definitely an OP anime feat itself.Tectorman wrote:I don't think this one really qualifies.Blade wrote:Goku being able to hold back Buutenks as a Super Saiyan 3.

Goku didn't overpower the magic with SSJ4. It created him a whole new body.

Correction: Gohan Boo having the power to cause the destruction of the universe with a scream.rereboy wrote:Yeah, this is easily the most overpowered one.KentalSSJ6 wrote:Buuhan having the power to destroy the universe with a scream.
He can't destroy the universe with his scream. His scream would break the walls between other dimensions, and then all these dimensions would crush each other, causing the destruction of the universe.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Sure, but its still a power feat because no other character (besides Vegetto could possibly do it) and it would destroy not only the universe but all dimensions. Hence, the most overpowered feat in Dragon Ball.

Yamcha owning Olibu.
Re: Top 10 overpowered Feats from the anime
Didn't Olibu have a good fight before losing against Pikkon who trashed Cell? If Fillercha is as strong as Pikkon then he could battle Goku as a Super Saiyan, which is ridiculous.90sDBZ wrote:Yamcha owning Olibu.

Re: Top 10 overpowered Feats from the anime
Yeah, that's pretty unrealistic - as is Paikuhan in general, as he is shown to dispatch with Cell fairly easily not long after Gohan defeated him, only to be evenly matched against Goku as a regular Super Saiyan. If he was so strong as to make Cell look like nothing, at that point in time, Goku would have been an ant under the boot.Regarder wrote:Didn't Olibu have a good fight before losing against Paikuhan who trashed Cell? Re: Top 10 overpowered Feats from the anime
Paikuhan used a technique to amplify his power against Cell. Weighted Paikuhan was suppressing his power by around 50 times, as his battle with Goku showed (he was fighting on base Goku's level with weights, and then he was fighting on SS Goku's level without weights). He could have been holding back even more power against Olibu to have a fun fight.Regarder wrote:Didn't Olibu have a good fight before losing against Paikuhan who trashed Cell?
