Xenoverse Music Thread

Post by songohan619 » Sun Mar 01, 2015 8:05 pm

I wanted to start a thread about everything regarding the music in Xenoverse, so here we are! :D

Btw, I`m really loving the music so far! It seems to have higher production value than the other recent soundtracks. I love the "Create-A-Character" theme, which sounds like the Sims theme, with a little bit of Cha La mixed in!

Does any of you think a CD will ever be released?

Also, do you know who composed the music for the game?
Also known as "GeniDude" and "NerdyNorwegian"!

I don't remember any of the composer names, but there's 3 guys that do it. They show up in the credits. It's amazing. Can't pick a favorite theme, I love them all.

Really digging the soundtrack for this game, even though I've never actually played it. Sadly, I don't have a system that I'm able to play this on, but I've been living vicariously through the guys at TeamFourStar and their play-through videos with the legendary Dumpling. Anyway, the soundtrack; I'd argue this is some of the best we've heard from a Dragon Ball video game in a long, long time. There's something incredibly grand about it, like it's a reflection of the story-heavy nature of the game. Each individual piece feels like it's been composed to serve a purpose, rather than just fill in as generic battle themes or something. There's some really ominous-sounding stuff in here, and I'm absolutely in love with the up-beat Toki-Toki City theme.

This one would have to stand out as my favourite though:

The song when Goku first turns Super Saiyan is probably one of my favorite DB ones ever, not just for XV. You'd have to be dead inside not to get pumped for some ass kicking while listening to it.

When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

How did Flow's Japanese version of Cha La Head Cha La get over here twice?! I thought the English version in Battle of Gods was a whole big legal thing. Yet two games contain the original version. I fail to see the logic in this. Does anyone know or have a good guess?

It was cheaper for BN to use. That's it.

Wouldn't that mean it would've been cheaper for Funi to use?

6th and 7th gen games era that received a CD release:
- Budokai 1 & 2 (Japanese Edition)
- Budokai 3 (Japanese Edition)
- Burst Limit (Japanese Edition)
- Raging Blast 1 (European Limited Edition)
- Raging Blast 2 (Overseas Edition)

Not counting singles. That's about it, IIRC.

Battle of Z did have some new songs of its own but it was mostly recycled tracks from previous games.

Xenoverse final retail version still has the BGMs from Burst Limit just like the "Beta" did.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Well, no, it uses all new music. The test tracks might be there, but they`re not used!

The tracks are hidden but they're still there, although not used of course. It's a bonus for those who've listened to the VGM rip.

RB1's score is OK but the Opening and Christmas-like BGM are what makes it worth it.
