Play any region game on the New3DS

I just wanted to let you guys know that a new exploit has been discovered for the New3DS that allows you to play games from any region:

You must own the original retail cart though, ROMs are not supported.

UPDATE: Support has been added for US, EU, and AUS N3DS systems https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-ntr ... ds.385142/

It says it requires a Japanese New 3DS XL, so I'm not sure about a US one.

Just make sure it has the right firmware. There's a thread on GBATemp with a list of N3DS serial numbers and what firmware they have been reported to have on them.
