Which One Movie before BOG do you wish was canon

Yes, none of the movies before BoG is canon. Yes, all of the movies before BoG are impossible to place in continuity.

But if you can take any one of the movies, and if the story had continuity issues, then they'd be altered or changed in some way to allow continuity with the main series, which would it be?

The OVAs and the specials can also be selected. the Dragonball and GT Movies can be selected as well. Sequels tie into the original film, but are separate films still, so you can only select one or the other.

I think I would go with Return of Cooler. Just um, different original villain possessed by the Big Gete Star I suppose.

Based on how well they fit, I would say Bojack Unbound or Wrath of the Dragon.

Based on the actual villain, I would want Cooler to be canon. I would also say Broly, but they'd need to change his backstory dramatically and, preferably, create a Serious Ball Z tale. Can't see that working the way I'd want it to.

I'd say Wrath of Dragon, it really hasn't contiunity issues with the manga, and it's a good movie, but maybe we should have the credits with Future Trunks erased from the end.

Wrath Of The Dragon, hands down. I just love concepts of movie and execution of them even more. If Dragon Ball ever gets a reboot, I so want that movie to be adapted into a mini-arc.

I'm super torn between Wrath of the Dragin and Bojack Unbound . In the end, I guess I'll go with Bojack Unbound. It felt like a really good epilogue to the Cell saga. Plus, Future Trunks got a time to shine, so that's a plus.

Wish: Bardock TV Special. I considered it canon up until DB Minus came out. Now my head-canon is that only the stuff after Bardock returns to Planet Vegeta after his squad's death is canon. I just pretend it happened after a battle in which Gine died. I also wish we'd get confirmation of Neko Majin Z being part of the manga's canon instead of the "maybe it's in a parallel universe" cop out statement. The contradictions are fine; it's a gag-manga! It's not supposed to be Freeza-era concrete seriousness!

Pretends it's sort of canon: Movie 7 works perfectly with the unseen fourth timeline. I pretend it's canon to that, as a result.

Anime canon: Movies 5 and 9. 9 only contradicts a bit of narration in the manga that isn't present in the anime, so it can fit there. Meanwhile, Cooler shows up in GT during the Super 17 story-arc, so I consider it anime canon as well.

I'm going to have to go with History of Trunks over Bardock the Father of Goku on this one. Besides being mediocre, I don't really mind Minus that much. Trunks' special on the other hand, while not bad, was certainly very rushed and the anime did a much better job with it. If we're excluding these two specials, then maybe Fusion Reborn or Wrath of the Dragon since they're the two best movies besides BoG and the specials (imo, of course) and both add something to the universe: namely, Gogeta and making SSJ3 actually useful for once.

Movie 5 and 13. 5 can fit if you fix some minor plot holes like remove Gohan's tail, have Goku turn SSj right off the bat and reference Trunks at least once. I don't like Movie 9 that much despite fitting into the timeline almost perfectly. Everything else should be AU films.

"False Super Saiyan" isn't an actual thing. The movie staff just didn't know what the actual design for Super Saiyan was going to be at the time they made that movie, since neither the manga or anime had reached that point yet, so they came up with their own version for the sake of Goku being able to go Super Saiyan in the movie. If the Lord Slug movie had come out after Goku's transformation had happened in the manga/anime, he'd be a normal-looking gold Super Saiyan in the movie instead.

So basically, all that needs to change is the colors (standard gold aura/spiky hair + blue-green eyes in place of the reddish design used in the Slug movie.)

That's not how it works, but it's all in fun so who cares.

Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans with no prior movie history with Cooler, Turles and Slug, would obviously be replaced with past canon enemies depending on where in the series the movie would take place in. Ideally, after Buu Saga, though Raditz, Freeza, and Cell sounds like a fine ghost warrior combination.

Cooler's Revenge, because his fifth transormations is one of my favourite bad guy appearances of all time. I also like the idea of Cooler being less lazy and actually working via training to surpass his brother and father.
