Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.
Based on this image it seems that the 12 universes (well at least 2 of them) aren't vastly different. What does everyone think the other universes differ compared to Universe 7?
99% chance there's a gender swap universe and a morality reversed universe. I also think there's a universe where everyone fights by giant mecha instead of using ki. Anyone else?
Nothing we know about Super directly confirms that Fat!Beerus and Girl!Whis are Hakaishin related or from another universe. The Hakaishin thing is likely based on their designs, but the alternate universe portion is questionable for now. Information we've gotten about the Hakaishin, or Beerus in general, has left it open for there to be more potential Hakaishin in just Universe 7 alone:
"The name of the God of Destruction who manages Earth is “Beerus”. He has awakened from a long slumber of 39 years. The fact that he has awakened means that (a) planet(s) within his jurisdiction will be destroyed, so even Earth is in danger of being destroyed by Beerus." --Chozenshu #1

My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)
I am up for all of those; simply based on both humor potential and potential Vegeta reaction-faces (he has the best reaction faces). :3
I also want a magical girl universe; because of course I do.
And now that I say that I'm reminded of the overweight cat from that one Sailor Moon episode and am now considering calling heavyset Beerus "Rhett Butler" until we get his actual name. :3
I think they're definitely meant to be alternate versions of them. In the original version of the conversation between Goku and Beerus after their fight (at least based on the subtitles) there wasn't necessarily an indication that these other universes may include other versions of themselves, but in the English dub right after Goku asks him "so you're not the strongest in the universe then?" he explicitly says "depends on which version you're talking about", obviously implying that's the case. It could have been only a dub thing, but maybe (probably) they had extra information, including this bit and slipped it in.
1. He's another God of Destruction of the same universe
2. He's a God of Destruction from another universe and all Gods & attendants look similar
3. He's a God of Destruction from another universe but this one is special where everyone's gender or morality is swapped. All the other universes are vastly different from each-other.
4. He's not a God but he's related to Beerus and his attendant is related to Whis.
5. They're not related to Beerus and Whis but they're apart of the same race.
Anyone would do except 2 for me, really. I'd settle on 3, personally.

I really hope it's a new God of Destruction from another universe as Beerus didn't tell us about other Gods of Destruction in the 7th Universe. I think they should be related. My theory is that Beerus has come from the other universe to maintain the balance here, or this new fat guy left our universe to do the job in another. I'd like to imagine these guys are at least of the same races(of Beerus and Whis), or even, related by blood.

I'm still waiting for Dragon Ball in Super...

Okay, is that name gonna really become a thing?
Spoiler:
Akira Toriyama wrote:My policy is to try and forget things once they’re over. Since if I don’t discard the old and focus on what’s new, I’ll overload my brain capacity. I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

I think the other Universes are completely original, there are no versions of the characters or races or planets, all brand new. The exception being "Entity's" like Whis (The Lady Whis introducing a new Universe). Fat Beerus is either a sibling or a Piccolo-Daimao version of Beerus.
Why would Mr Toriyama limit the Multiverse to 12 if they could be all different versions of the current one. If he was going that route he would leave an infinite number just to play around. For example Universes where potatos taste like ice-cream or another where Kurilin is a god because of the light reflecting of his bald head.
I personally am happy that there is a huge expectancy that this Super series will be about the DB Twelverse(at least). I want to see Toriyama's version of different universes after having the so-called doujinshi. This guy definitely look like a God of Destruction which Beerus was talking about in the end of BOG. He fits all the criterias to make him a God Destruction of another Universe:
- He resembles Beerus.
- He has an attendant just like Beerus does.
- He seems to be confident.
- He seems to be involved with planet destroying like he holds the Earth on his finger's top.
- This outfit suggests him to be a royal, just like Beerus is, some kind of uniform.
I don't mind him being too similar to Beerus as long as there will be other characters(Gods of Destruction) who are vastly different, and not to mention that the resemblance can be very easily explained.

I completely agree with you. This is what I'm assuming from the picture for the exact same reasons.
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"
I would be very, very disappointed if it turned out that the "twelve universes" are pretty much just the same thing as Dragonball Multiverse's alternate-timeline universes, or the old "just like our universe, but with good guys and bad guys/guys and girls/humans and dinosaurs/people you might actually care about and random high school students/etc. switching places" sort of idea. Just "alternate universes" rather than actual "other universes"... it'd be like just having a bunch of different Earth variations rather than different planets like Namek, Vegeta, Kaio's place, and so on.
And, as has already been said at least once: why limit it to a specific number if you're just going to do the "any random change from the cast we know is its own universe" alternate-universes thing?
I wouldn't mind alternate universes being a thing (though I guess they'd have to come up with a different explanation for them than time-travel-related changes, considering the "too many split timelines will eventually mess things up" aspect of... was it DBO? Xenoverse? both? I can't remember), but it'd be pretty lame if the "twelve universes" were just... an "alternate universe" thing, but limited to only twelve rather than the usual infinite possibilities that come along with that sort of concept.
