Oob's Level..?
I suppose we can now say that Oob was *technically* fighting post-BoG/RoF base Goku at the 28th WMAT. So factoring in Goku's new level of power(assuming he retains it), what tier would you rank Oob in now? I'm only interested in EoZ-era Oob--please leave the wackiness of GT out of this.

We can't really say for sure until the end of Super. For all we know, Goku loses the god powers.Galan007 wrote:I suppose we can now say that Oob was *technically* fighting post-BoG/RoF base Goku at the 28th WMAT.

Re: Oob's Level..?
Well oob or uub supposley has the potential to surpass Goku and Vegeta one day. So let's assume toriyama decides to keep that and decides to have Goku and Vegeta to become more powerful then uub has massive potential. I mean look at frieza he was a prodigy so is uub. However uub has has the power level more or less of Kidd Buu so if he trains he can become
Extremely powerful.

Re: Oob's Level..?
Then Oob is probably close to Freeza's true form. Even if Goku and Oob appeared to have an even match in hand-to-hand combat, Oob doesn't have special techniques like flight and blasts.
Re: Oob's Level..?
I assume you mean Freeza's true form as of RoF? If so, how do you think Oob(Pure Boo reincarnated) was able to become several orders of magnitude more powerful than Boo himself, with absolutely no formal training..?Hugo Boss wrote:Then Oob is probably close to Freeza's true form.

Re: Oob's Level..?
Until the new material sheds more light on the subject (which I'm convinced Toriyama won't and doesn't care to), then I am just going to stick to the assumption Oob is only marginally above Innocent Boo and around Pure Boo's level when fully raged. I admittedly only take into account the original manga and not the new material when discussing the series, really.
Re: Oob's Level..?
I do not understand why do people see it so much of a problem that goku now has the god powers for the fight where he does in his base form struggle a little tiny bit against Oob.
For me Goku being ABLE to spar with him in base form was always the biggest plot hole of the entire series. How much of Kid Boo's strenght do you thing Oob has at that time? Half? one thenth? It is still ENORMOUS ammount of power considering that Goku needed to go SSJ3 (how much is it? 75? 150? times stronger than base?) to be on even therms with Kid Boo.

I don't take into account BoGs and RoF when discussing the ending to DB because they weren't even a thought back when Uub was made, so unless Toriyama sheds new light on the ending then I have Uub where I've always had him, which is around Kid Buu's level.

Re: Oob's Level..?
Assuming that this is SbG Goku, and can transform into a SSGSS, and maybe even further than it, Oob is still at Pure Boo's level at full power. Goku expected Oob to be a trained fighter, so his power could have been anywhere, which is why Goku believed that there is a chance he might lose. It turns out that Oob hasn't trained, but he still has the potential to rival Goku with proper training (see Freeza's gains in FnF).

Re: Oob's Level..?
Make Freeza as strong as Boo so. It's not impossible. You may argue that Goku's base form was a lot stronger than his previous SS3 due to SSG's experience, but after the fight with Beerus and the training of Whis that power might have estabilized around a lower level, letting room for power-up like the SSGSS form.Galan007 wrote:I assume you mean Freeza's true form as of RoF? Re: Oob's Level..?
Uub may still be competent if Toriyama decides him to have a prodigy fate, just like he did with Freeza... He still knows about Uub, so I guess he might introduce him in a latter arc in Super, possibly after the 6th Universe Saga... Just speculating...

Re: Oob's Level..?
Barring the events of BoG and FnF, and only exclusively looking at the original series, I can't envision UuB (EoZ) closing in on the level of power he had as Kid Buu. It's pretty unlikely for Base Goku (Buu arc) to go from being far weaker than Frieza, to suddenly being able to tangle with a Kid Buu tier fighter in a matter of ten years without the inclusion of BoG and FnF. As a matter of fact, even reaching Perfect Cell tier in just his base form seems exceptionally far-fetched unless we factor in his SSG powers and the training he received from Whis.
Re: Oob's Level..?
One thing I've been thinking about is Toriyama's retcon where he said that Buu wasn't created by Bibidi and had actually existed since "time immemorial".
Usually, when Toriyama retcons something like this he has a reason for it, like when he said Beerus was actually the one that locked Old Kaioshin in the Z-sword, and then used that line in Super to make Beerus seem more dangerous, and to tie him in with the other gods.
But why would he bother retconing Buu's origin, when Buu is already gone? Maybe he's going to somehow use this when/if he introduces Uub in Super.
Just throwing out random thoughts here, I have nothing to back this up.

Re: Oob's Level..?
It's hard to say really as there are things that go against it, but if its base Godku, Oob would need to be at least Pure Boo level and Godku would have to be insanely suppressed. Like I said there are things going against Goku being heavily suppressed, but it makes the most sense to me instead of saying enraged Oob is like Golden Freeza level.

Re: Oob's Level..?
If Goku keeps his SSJG power then, I'd put Oob around Super Boo level. If Goku loses his SSJG power, then Oob would be somewhere between Mr Boo and Pure Boo.

Why would you place Oob so high? Logically, the highest power he should have without training should be at Pure Boo's level. And even if he is at Pure BooLord Beerus wrote:If Goku keeps his SSJG power then, I'd put Oob around Super Boo level.
s or Evil Boo's, hell, even Gohan Boo's level, base Goku would still have to be holding back against him.

Your right. He should be around kid buu's power level. It doesn't knock the character in any way. He is stronger then most of the character in z and he is a child. And Goku is known to hold back. Even if he achieves a hypothetical ssjgodssj10 lol. He will still hold back and have full control.
Uub has massive massive potential. I mean look at frieza had a power level of 140 million and never trained a second and rose to a godly level in four months. Now uub has the power level of more or less ssj3 Goku in Buu saga. Imagine if he trained. He could easily surpass Goku in a few years making him the new hero of the universe or multiverse.

Re: Oob's Level..?
Let's look at the events both ways:
- If BoG/FnF/Super never happened:
Goku expected Oob to be a trained fighter, and he expected the possibility of even losing in an all-out fight, meaning that Goku would have used SS3 against an Oob that his power could have been anywhere, maybe greater than Goku's. It turns out that Oob really has the potential to rival & even surpass Goku (which is why Goku said that he was as amazing as he expected him to be), since his dormant powers are on Pure Boo's level and probably beyond (since Boo never trained, he should have had untapped dormant powers as well). But he hasn't trained yet, so he hasn't reached his true potential, but he is very strong for an untrained Earthling, as he was capable of rivaling base Goku, who may or may not had been holding back. - If BoG/FnF/Super happened:
