How did Marc Menza go from Jimmy Neutron to GT?

listen to his JN tracks and they're well composed and fit the atmosphere
then we get to GT and his tracks are all trash and mostly sound the same

I'm sure it's a combination of everything from budget to direction to time constraints. For DBGT, you had Barry Watson on the sidelines dictating that they turn the show into a hip-hop caricature of itself.

Because FUNimation told him to make a synth metal soundtrack, just like they told Ron Wasserman, Bruce Faulconer and Nathan Johnson.
