I've been thinking about this for a long time, about super saiyan gods, godly ki and Beerus/Whis.
And I think Godly ki isnt a power source from within the user, but from an etheral source. Goku transforming in Battle of the Gods was a way for him to tap into that limitless power source. Afterwards, Goku may have lost the form, but his body remembered that power and "made it his own" as Beerus said. It either means Goku can now reproduce a duplicate of Godly ki, or his body can open that realm to absorb more godly ki.
However, RoF showes me there's a catch. The body has to train to adapt to more Godly ki, like the kaioken. More power the body has, the more ethereal ki it can tap into. And I guess because its such a huge surge in power, it takes longer to train the body to get used to stronger doses of Godly ki. Thats why after a year of training, Goku is still below Beerus, even as an ssgss.
And speakin of ssj, i theorize Goku transforming into an ssj allowed his physical body to grow stronger and allow more of the Godly ki to swell within him. That's why he transforms in the movie. It probably took Goku and Vegeta a year to combine the forms and adapt to them.
It feels so good letting all this out. i was afraid id forget all of it xD

I've heard of that, but I've never read/watched Saint Seiya before. This is all pure speculation on my part.DragonBallLove wrote:Just like Saint Seiya cosmos, you mean?
