Similar to the Battle of Gods project I was/am slowly doing, I want to do the same with R'F'. Kikuchi's music defined the series for me with the Freeza material. Pretty sure my love for Freeza as a character combined with being a decent music placer, I could get an acceptable version with Kikuchi music.
I also want to do the standard attempting to correct Say-yan to Sigh-yan, terminology I can edit like Guardian being put back to God, Kai attack names, etc.
The Japanese version will solely being getting the Kikuchi replacement score.

Sorry to double post, progress has officially started! Have the movie ripped, the musicless audio ripped and have had my 3 CD BGM collection ripped for ages. Now begins the Saiyan Edit and the beginning of a project I'd like to call "Resurrection 'K'". May do more than just Kikuchi versions, but this is my priority.

There will be one for both the Dub and original Japanese performances! No need to worry. I ripped the Japanese audio the same time I was ripping the dubbed version. Going to revert the Momoiro Clover Z song back to the original Japanese for both tracks. That English version of that song is abysmal.
There will be 3 base versions:
Japanese with Kikuchi BGM
Dub (Say-yan pronunciation edited to Sigh-yan) with Kikuchi BGM
Dub (untouched) with Kikuchi BGM.
I like it a lot but editing Say-an to Sigh-yan sounds incredibly weird and awkward. I know there will be a version without it but it really breaks the immersion for me.
That's pretty nice! Though I feel that this piece might fit better in the first part where Vegeta transforms and does the slow walk towards Freeza as hit has sort of a slow build to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1T27jOe ... r&index=27

If I had to take a guess, I'd say that they want brand new music for their new productions but either they can't afford to hire Kikuchi anymore or he doesn't want to do DB stuff anymore.

Oooh! That's a good one. I went with the track I did since it had a build up that ended around the time Vegeta stopped walking toward Freeza.
Even though I love Kikuchi soundtrack I'm starting to feel that they don't fit in the current parameter of the series anymore. I don't know, I'm talking this basing in the video used as example (maybe a remastered version of the track could work). But I would like to see your previous work in BoG and I might find interesting... I always imagined that if this track played when they're in the ritual to Goku turn a SSJG, it would give me chills!
EDIT: Found a video of BoG with Kikuchi BGM! just one or another track that I think would not fit in a particular scene.
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
I've started back up on this project. Learned another little editing trick. I managed to turn Earth's Guardian into Earth's God, all it takes is keep the Gua from Guardian and add a more solid 'd' sound and you have a convincing 'God'.

Yeah, I'm gonna tweak it further, but more of proof of concept, but considering how ridiculous Power Levels/Battle Powers are, I kinda wanna keep it Gillion.

Please keep it Gillion. I'd get a major kick out of it.

I believe you have to mute a couple of the channels on the 5.1 audio track. You may lose some volume on the sound effects as well as some of the reverb effects, but it shouldn't be so bad that you can't work with it.

This looks cool! Good luck with it, I'm sure it'll be awesome!

As Omega said, If you have a 5.1 track on there, it should be as simple as deleting a couple of channels (there will be 6 channels) it looks like this:
Spoiler:
and after removing all audio apart from the dub it'll look like this (assuming you only want the dub voices and SFX, just keeping channel 3 will do it for most of Funimation's releases)
