Could have Gohan/Yamcha made it back in time for #18's win?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Could have Gohan/Yamcha made it back in time for #18's win?

I mean, yes, Yamcha would still be useless and Gohan wouldn't tip the scale at all but, just a what if... if they both decided to head back to the battlefield after their task of flying Goku/Bulma home, could they have made it back in time when #17 started kicking SSJ Future Trunks, Piccolo, and Tien's ass?

Or were the flying distances just too far away? I mean, Yamcha flew back when before Android #19 was destroyed. Gohan left just when Gero started running back to the lab. This would be a few episodes/chapters before #18 achieved victory over Vegeta.

I believe they could.
I recall they weren't flying with their auras and still got to Kame house rather quickly.
