Favorite voice actors for the characters

Sub, dub, big green, I don't care!
Masako Nozawa as Son Goku 1986 - present, She has been voicing him for nearly 30 years and she still owns this role and unless somebody comes out of now where , she will always be the best Goku to me.
Hirotaka Suzuoki as Tenshinhan 1987 - 2006. He always brought this stoic feel to Ten, out of the deaths of the cast members this hit me the hardest when I found out.

Toshio Furukawa's Piccolo has always been a favorite of mine. I just love his voice. Ryusei Nakao as Freeza is another one.

Also, Brian Drummond as Vegito. I think he was a lot better with the character than people give him credit for, not to mention how it's not a dual voice but rather sounds like a combination between Goku and Vegeta's voices, which is exactly how a Potara fusion should sound like.

Norio Wakamoto - Cell

He brings forth Imperfect Cell's slithering creepyness, SemiPerfect Cell's arrogance, Perfect Cell's laid-back & confident nature, SPC's maniacal attitude with such intensity!

Kuzo Shioya - Buu

Buu is creepy af. Also laughs. A LOT.

I always thought TOEI hired different VA's for Buu's each form. But man!

This guy gave subtle touches to every form of Buu

In fact, as I rewatch Buu Arc, I noticed the foreshadowings Kuzo Shioya made with Buu's hysterical laughter.

Buuhan (post absorbing Vegito) showed attributes similar to Fat Buu (being an all-powerful, yet dumb guy who only thibk abt Cake), while his maniacal laughs gave impressions of a kid...literally a kid in an adult body...of which he eventually DID transform into & wrecked havoc....

Bin Shimada - Broly

A very underrated seiyuu

His vocal range is something you hardly witness in Anime

Just an ordinary "Kakarotto...." sends shiver down my spine.

Really wish he was utilized more in DB works

I honestly at this stage prefer the FUNi cast in regards to the major Dragon Ball characters, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Bulma, Freeza, Cell etc. but I still think several of the JPN cast still carry a better performance for certain characters in comparison to the FUNi dub, such as Toshio Furukawa for Piccolo, Mayumi Tanaka for Krillin, Kōzō Shioya for Majin Boo and Takeshi Kusao for Trunks.

Since I've only had the experience of watching the FUNi version and the original version, those two will logically be my set of preferences.

Goku - FUNi. Was a lot harder than I thought. I've really come to enjoy Nozawa's take on the character but I still have to go with Schemmel.
Vegeta - FUNi.
Chi-Chi - Japanese.
Bulma - Japanese.
Trunks/Future Trunks - Japanese.
Piccolo - FUNi.
Krillin - Japanese.
Gohan - Japanese.
Goten - FUNi.
Mr. Satan - FUNi.

Majin Buu - FUNi
Beerus - FUNi
