Toriyama Interview Legitimacy Question
************************************************************************************************************************
KANZENSHUU ADMIN EDIT/NOTE:
There is no such thing as the "Super Otaku Magazine". This interview is fake. This quote is fake. This isn't real.

So I stumbled upon this interview published by Pojo, that says the Anime and Manga are canon to each other. Is there any truth in it.

"Q: How would you position the Dragon Ball Z anime (TV series)?
A:I consider the TV animation to be in "one dimension" with the Manga. I have what I call Canon, which is the TV series and the original, printed comic edition works that are directly tied into continuity."

I doubt it's real but it'd be neet to see a word from the Kanzeshuu staff. I still bank on super and kai being its own canon,
and the animes being the toei canon and toei's mangas and 2 films are his canon.
It would explain why Toriyama (Supposedly) thumbs up super which has filler.
Any post before 8/7/2016 isn't mine. This account was a gift from someone who thought the account was already banned. Saved me the trouble of making a new one haha XD

Re: Toriyama Interview
No, that one additional question is fake. The others are taken/adapted from legitimate sources.

Re: Toriyama Interview Legitimacy Question
Well, as it pertains to Dragon Ball the word "canon" has never been officially stated, from Japan at least (Christopher Sabat has mentioned it before) so we can take that particular statement as a fake.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Re: Toriyama Interview Legitimacy Question
It is so obviously ridiculous and stupid that people always try to make it look like a person said something that so conveniently answers fanboy question and even use a very specific word that I never have even seen in Japanese media. Also no absolute equivalent has ever been mentioned for Dragon Ball. Just the different world stuff that could have more meanings and that includes interviews which are 20 years old already which means - probably even about that the opinion has changed already.
I have heard both Christopher Sabat and Sean Schemmel use it but that does not mean anything.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote:Well, as it pertains to Dragon Ball the word "canon" has never been officially stated, from Japan at least (Christopher Sabat has mentioned it before) so we can take that particular statement as a fake.
