Champa Arc - Will it have a main villain ?

Post by Khin » Fri Jan 29, 2016 8:35 am

Many people are theorizing that the the Champa Arc will not just have a tournament but instead it will be disturbed by a villain. But i'm starting to think that the Arc will not have a villain at all.Looking at the titlecard for the Arc.Unlike BOG and ROF,which showed a silhouette of the main villain (Beerus and Freeza) the Champa Arc have Beerus and Champa staring at each other. What i'm thinking is that the Universe 7 team will win the tournament, they will discover that the last remaining Super Dragon Ball is in Universe 6 (Which is why the ''Super'' Dragon Radar can't find) and they will travel there and Goku and Vegeta will visit Planet Salad. What do you think ? Would you prefer it to not have a villain and just a tournament like the old Dragon Ball days ? :?: :?:

Given the fact that we don't know if Super will have any arcs after the current Champa story, this topic should just be funneled into one of these already existing ones:

U6 not having a final villain but instead just a conflict -- http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... 25&t=32311

Well, something bad has to come out of the crossing between universes. I always thought it was going to be Champa to turn heel but hey, at least we have a chance to get a completely new character out the blue that is not on Champa's team and hasn't appear yet.

I don't think it will, I'm sort of looking at this not even being the U6 arc but the Champa arc. They are more than likely one and the same but I'm hoping the Champa arc is just the tourney and the U6 arc is actually when Goku goes to U6.

I believe the final battle will be Beerus vs Champa.
Champa is most likely main villain.

I'd much rather have an ensemble of villains much like the Red Ribbon Army arc and Namek arc than just a single main villain.

From the last episode, I think Beerus will be the big villain! What he told to Bulma about the super dragonballs and destroying the universe...

Champa seems to be pretty bad since he wants U7 Earth just for food. I do think that he will be view as the main villain of the story arc much like how Dolltaki was view as the main villain in the Black Star Dragon Ball Hunt.

Since Goku is fighting first in the tournament, and he can't step out until he loses, this leads me to believe that the tourney is just a side show and bigger threats are on the way. Much like the start of the Buu saga with that martial arts contest.

Vegeta - The final villain for super?
  • HE proposed the test & took buu , resulting in buu failing
  • HE forced piccolo to forfeit
  • HE requested a lost member of U6 to come back to fight
  • HE nullified the correction of cheating of frost, possibly costing goku's comeback
  • HE wants to fight frost, knowing that he can put poison in him too.

There probably won't be a 'villain' at all. I bet the tournament ends with Universe Seven losing and Gokuu and friends hunt down other strong guys to fight in Universe Six, starting a new storyline.

I'm going with either Hit or Vados due to recent episodes.

The way things are playing out, I'm starting to think there's a bad guy above Hit.

so how come everything bad for U7 in the tournament is coming from vegeta?

Not to mention that tension between vegeta & beerus has been hinted , & vegeta is behaving too disciplined in front of beers

There's something about Vados that puts me on edge.

I believe kibito kai defusing indicates that we'll see Vegito at some point in the anime (I mean, the writers wouldn't make them defuse for no reason, would they?). And, at least for now, I think that only Vados/Whis could put up a fight against SSJSS Vegito, which is why they are my top guesses for a main villain (but, of course, introducing a new character is always a possibility). Anyways, I think this won't happen in the Champa arc specifically, but in a subsequent one.

Me as well. After this last episode, something has just flipped in my head. Just the way she's been acting etc.

I'm not convinced Vados is a villain, as everything she's done and said so far could equally just be her sassing Champa per the dynamic of their relationship, but she's definitely a more likely candidate than Champa himself, who we already know is weaker than Vados, Beerus and Whis, and a bit of an ignoramus.

My money is on Hit, Vados or some entity we haven't seen yet so as to be less predictable. Hit actually seems too obvious for Toriyama -- especially considering the only action we know he takes so far is against Universe 6 super-criminal Frost -- though obviously it could go either way and there's no predicting his plot points, even in this safer stage of his writing.

Whatever the hell Vados thought they were collecting the Super Dragon Balls for before Champa capriciously bet them on the tournament has to come into play, right?

That just confirms Vegeta is terrible at decision-making, lol.

I agree with the latter, but i think Hit will be the link between the tournament and those strong opponents from U6. Maybe he won't be defeated here yet...
