DBZ Couples

Honestly, i dont understand em!

I mean, Vegeta and Bulma!

Nobody ever saw that coming, atleast i didint. There was really no romance between them, i mean you have the evil dude and the preppy girl! Vegeta doesent ever even say "I love you" or anything, all he's said nice to her was (not even to her! he said it to Goku!) "I came here and started a family and I've become quite fond of them!"

Gee, thats very nice, he's "fond" of you,Bulma.

Maybe its just the kind of guy he is, not showing what he feels but Akira Toriyama could of atleast showed the slightest romance between them before pulling a marriage on them!

Another odd couple is Krillin and 18...i dont know why i think that!

I guess they dont like showing romance stuff down in the DBZ world, but they could of atleast made it so we (mostly me since I'm a little slow

) can understand the little link between them

Well, this post was not supposed to be about me rambling on about this thing cause i just wanted to ask ya: Who's your favourite DBZ couple? Who's your least favourite DBZ couple?

My favourite is Videl and Gohan (Ah! Young Love!

) and if you read this, you can tell who my least favourite is...

I can understand being confused by Vegeta/Bulma

but Krillin showed his care for #18 very early on in the Cell Saga so it was a logical thing there that slowly growed.

as for Bulma and Vegeta the way I looked at it, great biug warrior comes to a place after a lot of fighting and theres a girl there who thinks he's handsome (hey she's been silly before she thought Zarebon was handsom too), and well stuff happened, and they decided to stay together after that.

Yes, i guess Krillin's did make sense but for some odd reason it disturbed me. Maybe its cause she used to be evil or the fact that she's and ANDROID! Yeah but he loved her so blah blah blah

Bulma has weird tastes, first Zarbon, a dude with green skin and now Vegeta, the guy with the enormous forhead. Yamcha was cool for awhile but now he plays baseball!

Wow! I have super powers and can do amazing things like go and save the world, so whats the only logical thing to do? Play baseball!

Guys in DBZ can be idiots..

My favorite would probably be Gohan and Videl. They're actually a really feasible couple, and we get a good idea of how they hook up and everything.

Zarbon was a flaming fawp! And I like Gohan and Videl the best too. I thought that line Videl said was so sweet when Gohan left her behind to follow Kibito. "Come back alive Gokan-kun. I want to date you and stuff." "and stuff"! Awww, so sweet!

#18 isn't actually an Android, she's a cyborg, so she is still human, and I actual think that their relationship is also very sweet. Look how upset she sounds when she yells his name as he goes for Super Buu in order to save his wife and little girl and don't tell me that that scene in GT with #18, Kuririn, and an attacking #17 didn't touch you. I also think that Goku and Chi-Chi's relationship when they are little in DB is also really cute. She so worships him and he is so, so,......unawares.

By the way SpiritBomb, I think your avatar's really neat.

You do have to give Chi-Chi a bit of a break sometimes though. Her husband does have a habit of dying and/or taking off for long periods of time, like "years". I hate the way she constantly tries to mollycoddle Gohan though. To tell you the truth, it was good Piccolo came along when he did. He did what Goku couldn't.

You're right about that... I suppose when you're leaving your wife for a dozen years without an explanation, she has a reason to be pissed. I still hate her, though.

Edit: I noticed you mentioned Goku and Chichi as children... Although I've only seen the dub of that, it didn't seem that great either. I guess it was fairly funny.

I agree with you about her attitude in certain aspects of their life. I don't like the way she doesn't want Gohan hanging Goku's friends because she thinks they're a bad influence and the constant pressure on Gohan to study, study, study! Man, I feel sorry for Japanese students!

I mentioned Goku and Chi-Chi as children because I don't know how it is in the dub, but it's just that I find it funny the way she's so enamoured with him and he either doesn't notice or doesn't get it, even when he's nineteen and they meet again at the 23rd Tenka-ichi Budokai. He's still looking confused even when they're getting married! Poor guy!

Although the way they got together was very silly, Gokuu and Chichi do go together nicely in at least one way: They're both so dumb.

(Chichi is clearly the smarter one, though.)

Goku has an excuse, though. As a child he was brain-damaged so severely that it changed his genetically-ingrained behaviorial attributes. For all we know, he could have been the next Saiya-jin Einstein.

Don't forget, they are also the most pure of everyone. Remember that Chi-Chi had no problem riding on Goku's Kinto'un.

And actually Chi-Chi might not be that dumb since she managed to get Goku to marry her. Well, then again, it's not usually that hard to trick Goku.....nevermind!

Some of the things that Goku and Chi Chi go through as a couple sometimes makes me wonder. Has anyone here seen on Temple of Trunks, manga of when Goku came home from Yardrat and was explaining to Chi Chi about the androids? Only there, the dialogue was revised in which rather than being mad about Gohan, Chi Chi was angry over it being a long time since Goku performed his "husbandly duties".
