Only a few of those are actually Freeza, of course. Although they do end up all being evil overlords.
^ But they're almost all Freeza clones, Freeza in all but name. Well, I don't know. While Cold is very reminiscent of Freeza's second form, I've always seen him as distinct enough to be his own character, paltry a character though he is. Maybe it's because he's the only one not portrayed by Nakao.
But, yeah, I was actually just thinking about this the other day. They just can't keep themselves from constantly bringing Freeza back.
Do you follow the most comprehensive and entertaining Dragon Ball analysis series on YouTube? If you do, you're smart and awesome and fairly attractive. If not, see what all the fuss is about without even having to leave Kanzenshuu:
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.
How the Black Arc Should End (by Lightbing!):
Spoiler:
Absolute Zamasu(my name for their fusion) wins. He fulfils his utopia and dwells in his loneliness(x amount of time for this to happen). He starts to doubt of his achievements, Goku's body influences him to seek out challenges but there's nothing. Perfection becomes a curse. Absolute Zamasu starts to dread his existence and presents himself to the Omni-King, detailing on his actions.
Using his powers the Omni-King restores everything to the moment before Goku and Vegeta perish, humanity's last barrier. Zamasu concedes. He ask for forgiveness(mainly to Goku, Gowasu and Trunks) and understands that his justice isn't justice at all. He asks for judgement and the Omni-King delivers.
Trunks is forced never to travel in time ever again, all the time-machines are destroyed.
Can't wait for Frost to fucking die already. He had a chance to be different but ended up being a disappointment. I'm tired of Freeza revivals and clones.

NovaSaiyajinGoku, don't know who him personally but he's the one who drew Zeero, an OC Cetra is working on for his story, she's the grandmother of Freeza I believe.

It doesn't really matter how many Frieza type characters there are, cause there will always be one that's Cooler than all the rest.....
yeah I know...I suck
To be fair, Cooler did seem to be more composed and less smug than Freeza. That being said, I agree that this thing with the evil Freeza look a likes is getting ridiculous. Are we just supposed to assume that every member of Freeza's race is naturally evil?
Weren't Freeza, his father and brother supposed to be mutants and super strong compared to the rest of their race? For all we know everyone else on his original planet is mostly nice, or at least neutral. Maybe the same is true for Uni 6 and Frost really is Freeza's counterpart the way Champa is Beerus' so the rest of everyone on Frost's planet are weaker but nice.

And then we can see his brother Kool
father Frigid (and father would be his title because instead of a king he would be a spiritual leader on the surface but really just be collecting donations for profit)
metal Frost
metal Kool
platinum Frost
Maybe they will have a mother named Ice
etc
etc

Honestly, Frost & FnF should never have happened. But i cringed the moment I saw Frost added into the team, especially after FnF happening an arc prior, I got sick of the lazy Freeza rehashing. If I could have fixed this rehash mess, I would have just had King Cold revived, and give him the same storyline and characterization given to Frost. Then there would be no need for Golden Freeza.... or Frost himself. But again, I go back to my theory that Toriyama can't seem to sell us a villain like Freeza without relying on Freeza as a stencil.

Its weird how we assume female Cold-Clan members, have to have them. Freeza himself could have been passed as a female already with Linda young, his lips and pink colouration already.

Zephyr wrote:The fandom's collective fetishizing of "moments" is also ridiculous to me. No, not everyone needs a fucking "shine" moment. If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

She is Freeza's mother, originally intended in my story as grandmother but now mother actually. And she was not supposed to have breasts when I drew her, haha (first I considered it, then not and now with Nova's picture it is worth a thought for me again). But Nova added that detail after I gave him my sketch and I quite like it so I have not decided yet.
Zeero, Mother of Cooler and Freeza, Queen of the Kraiojin.
Spoiler:
The birth form is her normal form she was born with and that Cooler and Freeza got their birth form looks from. She and Cooler were no mutants through spontaneous mutation like Cold whose mutated cell traits were inherited by Freeza but later forced their cells to mutate through experiments.

Haha.
Spoiler:
I actually made the torso and shoulders of her normal form to look like Cooler and Cell so people know where both got that trait from (same goes for their cheek parts). The headpart of Absolute Form is supposed to be an abstract version of a crown (it is her head though) to represent her royalty (thougt meta-wise for design idea, not in the story actually as she did not know how her body would change). Funnily enough though in the recent DBZA episode Cell calls his head part a crown. And even though her head is not exactly like Cell's (especially because the upper horns of Zeero to not actually surround that "jewel" like it does with Cell) it has often also reminded me of him, especially because a part of his lines when it comes to the lower crown part were supposed to be inspiration for her as well.

My biggest issue with the Freeza-like characters isn't that they're Freeza but they're voiced almost all by Ryusei Nakao (except for King Cold) and it ruins the characters for me. Masako Nozawa is a special case, she's the voice of the Son family although Raditz wasn't voiced by her.. I'd have liked to have heard her voicing Raditz too but we can't have everything.
