After several decades of interminable waiting, Goku returns in a brand new series to become even stronger! The series will arrive on TV in France end of 2016!
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
I don't really understand the "why not the US?" comments. America has never been first to get any of the series. Let's let international folks enjoy what they're getting!

Doesn't surprise me at all, really. Unlike most other countries, they've already done Buu Kai all the way through, so it was only natural they'd get around to doing Super soon.
wow French are so lucky. I can't wait to have Super here in Italy and considering BoG and RoF had other dubbers, while the TV serie will probably get our old cast, and those are the voices I grew up with so I really can't wait to finally hear DBZ characters with our "real" voices (unfortunately our Goku died...)

France getting Super shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, it's in fact the one country in Europe to always acquire DB before any other. It took many many years until UK finally had its own Dragon Ball releases and even then, it's not going too forte.
Not a surprise to me that it comes before the US release. After all, the US is still waiting on the Funimation dub for the Majin Buu and Evil Buu Sagas in Dragon Ball Kai to release.
Not surprised. Dragon Ball is incredibly popular in France.

Akira Toriyama wrote:My policy is to try and forget things once they’re over. Since if I don’t discard the old and focus on what’s new, I’ll overload my brain capacity. I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.
Akira Toriyama wrote:Drawing Dragon Ball again reminded me of two things--how much I love it, and how much I never want to do it again.
Kunzait_83 wrote:And if you're upset because all this new material completely invalidates the tabletop RPG rulebook-sized statistical system and flowchart for the characters' "canonical Power Levels" that you'd been working on painstakingly for the last bunch of years now... well I don't think there's a kind, non-blunt way of saying this, but that's 100% entirely your own misguided fault for buying so deeply into all this nonsensical garbage in the first place. And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.
Zephyr wrote:Goodness, they wrote idiotic drivel in a children's cartoon meant to advertise toys!? Again!? For the ninetieth episode in a row!? Somebody stop the presses! We have to voice our concern over these Super important issues!

Hopefully it'll air in Brazil soon, since Battle of Gods and FnF released early in Latin America when compared with the rest of the western world. BTW, I think Dragon Ball is one of the few animes (or even entertainment products in general) that sound way better in the dubbed (Portuguese) version.
