Hover Chair Freeza skin in original NA Budokai 3 release?

Alright, I know this skin was found in the JP version before via cheat devices. However, I have yet to find any mention of it existing in the original NA release. And yet, I saw it. Tonight. Twice. I had been playing but then supper was finished so I backed out to the title screen to let the game run through the intro and demo fights...

Coming back with my food I watched the tail end of the intro and sat eating, and then, the demo fight loaded. And lo' and behold. Hover Chair Freeza was on my screen. @_@ Nearly choked on my food as he transformed.

On the off chance he'd appear again I came running out here, grabbed our (crappy) digital camera, and ran back into my room. Not more than 10 minutes later he appeared, yet again. I managed to snap off a shot just as he started to transform.

I appologize for the quality of the image. The camera's a cheapy, only about $20. Here's the picutre. My question is. Has *anyone* found a means to access this during play? Any codes or anything at all for the NA version that allow for this?

Wow.

I would cut off someone else's right arm to be able to play as Hover Chair Freeza.

I bet they were going to have him fly around the Namek map in that in his Dragon Universe Story, had all of the DU had an opportunity to be finished.

I've never seen that before either; were you playing the original Budokai 3, or the Greatest Hits?

As the thread title says, this is from the Original NA release of the game. Hence why I nearly choked. It's been out for over 2 years and this is the first I've heard of this.

Heh, sorry Xyex, but the pic's quality is horrendous and it made me remember all the stories with ... eh, yeah. Anyway, I sure hope they have a capsule of him or something. Have you got 100% of everything?

Not this time, but I have before, so I know he's not in the game by normal means. Hence asking if anyone had yet found the NA code to access him like can be done with the JP version.

Does he have the hover chair in all forms? Even 3rd? (in the Japanese version)

No. The hover chair seems to shatter or vanish or something after leaving his first form.

Since you have a camera (even if it is a crappy one), take some more pictures, to have a little more proof.

I have to agree with ngnikolaos, there have been so many pranks abouth these games that it is hard to believe this is real.

I do not doubt Xyex. I just made a sarcasm about the quality of the pics. If he says that he indeed saw hover Freeza on the NA version, I personally believe him.

Ya. He loses the chair.

I would, but sitting there going through that to see it again could take a while and be annoying. And there's only a couple seconds for the shot. Both times he appeared he transformed instantly.

Ya. Mike's been trying but no luck for him so far either. Damn it. I wish I had a way to copy from VCR to computer. I'd go back, start taping, and then try and get him to show again. Not sure if he'll show up in the GH version during the demo fights. Whatever lets him do it in the original release may have been changed.

Either Xyex is the luckiest person who just happened to bump into this discovery, or that he's toying with us. (Just kidding!) Either way, chances of us, the less lucky ones, seeing Freeza is way slim.

While I wouldn't know that (Doesn't know Star Wars well enough to know what this chair looks like) I'm betting Sonic stole Freeza's hover chair idea for Robotnik as well.
