Shonen Jump and the Local News
WPXI (NBC) news out of Pittsburgh had a report this afternoon about the "shocking content" that one mother found in Shonen Jump, most specifically it sounded like they were complaining about Yu Yu Hakusho.
Apparently she bought the magazine out of a Schoolastic (sp?) take home catalog, which has since officially stopped carrying the magazine.
Hopefully incidents like this don't cause Viz to fly off the handle, and make them start going censor crazy.

That reminds me of an article I read one time concerning kids getting games like Vice City. When they asked this one stupid mother why she was buying her nine-year old son Vice City for Christmas, she answered "He wants it."PsyLiam wrote:Isn't there an age sticker rating thing on the front of Shonen Jump?
Of course, that never stopped parents from buying Vice City for their 8 year old children, and then complaining about the violent nature of the game.
Idiots.

Oh man, I loved those. I mean, I started with some goosebump thingies, but soon it was all bam~! Ninjas!
I love ninjas. Of course, they were stupid in one way... places where you wouldn't have any choice over things.
You fall asleep.
-Wake up in half an hour.
-Wake up in 8 hours.
See my point?

They were stupid in other ways.
Do you want to:
-go in the cave? Go to page 11
-ignore it and walk on by? Go to page 52
Page 11: You find lots of gold bars in the cave, become filthy rich, and hire hitment to assassinate Gen the Eunich.
Page 52: As you are walking down the road, a rock falls on you. You are dead.

Ya well, they were always anti-climatic anyway. You perfectly described them Liam.
And what do people expect to see Yusuke doing, the Macarena?! Geez, it says at the beginning of every installment that he's a juvenile deliquent. What do juvenile delinquents do? They smoke!
I've got a good Choose Your Own Adventure-
You see that your child wants to get a game called Vice City and it's rated M for mature. The box looks pretty violent.
Do you
a. Buy it for him anyway because he'll start whining and you're too damn lazy to put your foot down, plus you're the kid's "friend", not his parent and you want him to like you. Go to page 34
b. Actually get a backbone and act like a parent and tell him if he doesn't stop whining about not getting it, you will really buy it so you can instead use it as a whip on him. Go to page 67

Okay, but in the decent ones, there are multiple endings and long paths of even more choices before you die from a mistake. Well very rarely will you find such a choose your own adventure gem, but take it from me, because I've read trillions of them.
I don't like them now, though. Too much of a hassle. It's all real books for me now.
Wait, no it's not. It's all nothing for me now. What the hell am I thinking?

I don't remember Monev, and neither does my brother. So, being like him wouldn't be a good thing. How about I be Vash, do no training, and win in the end?
Oh! Oh! How about I be Legato, be cool, have psychic powers, and both win AND lose? I love that guy.
