Favorite Techniques
Hey everyone!
I've noticed a few 'Best *blank*' topics and, of course, inspired by Meri's top 5 things every week-- I figured the next subject to express favoritism in is the many, many techniques seen through out the series!
I'll start it off with mine, Piccolo's Kakusanyūdōkōdan aka Guided Scatter Shot/Hellzone Grenade.
In the event there's another forum like this, I do so sincerely apologize for being repetative but I do look quite a ways back and didn't see anything! So, anyone else wish to contribute?

I'm going with the Big Bang attack. Something about that move just makes it stand out to me.

For the longest time, Final Flash was, hands-down, my favorite technique. I loved how Cell just stood there expecting it to just be a light show and then almost got himself destroyed there.
And Kuririn's move that he used against the Saibamen is called Kakusandan... but I think if you just said "That move that Kuririn used against the Saibamen" you'd get your point across.

Hm... That's tough. It's hard to pick just one favorite technique. Here are some I happen to like a lot:
The Taiyô-ken is a really clever move. It's not really attack, yet it's incredibly useful, and it's just as powerful no matter who uses it and works on all oppenents no matter how powerful they are. Also, even though Piccolo only uses it once, I really like the Makankosappo for some reason. It's just seems really awesome, and I like the spiral look to it.
I also like the Ki-enzan, simply because of it seems to cut through nearly anything at all, no matter how much weaker Kuririn is than the opponent (well, with the exception of Cell, curse him). If it hits, it's almost always going to cut through its target. It never really made sense to me anyway that enemies could just stand there and be completely unharmed, just because they were extremely strong. Is their skin incredibly durable now? Are their bones now unbreakable? Ki-enzan almost always ignores this "invincibility". It would've chopped off Nappa's freaking head if Vegeta hadn't warned him about it, and it did cut off Freeza's tail.
And, well, those are the techniques I like the best, that I can think of right now.

I've been inspired by Swifts awesome post to explain some (or all) of my picks as listed in my last post.
5) Galactica Donuts - The attack used by Gotenks twice and Majin Boo once. I was really impressed with Gotenks when he did this, because (in the Manga) such a thing had never really been done before. I also loved how he made Boo into a ball later on and (with Piccolo's help, heh) spiked Boo into the Earth. Those two kids were pretty innovative in a lot of regards, despite not accomplishing much of anything in the end and being completely idiotic much of the time.
4) Kienzan - I almost just want to copy and paste Swifts post for this one...in fact...

3) Kikoho - My favorite straight-forward Ki blast ever. Easily. It totally dwarfs the Kamehameha and takes so much Ki from the user that it risks killing them! So...much...power...it even made Tenshinhan useful on two occasions where he otherwise would've been as nothing.
2) Sokidan - WHY?! WHY DID THIS NEVER GET USED AGAIN?!?! Only once at the Tenka'ichi Budokai, but truly amazing. I can't even really describe why I love it so much, but this Technique...GRR I FRIGGEN LOVE IT.
1) Kaio-ken - A technique that makes you stronger than yourself. I didn't know what to think when I was but a newb so long ago, but I really became enthralled with it when I began collecting the Manga. I mean, it really is Son Goku's greatest technique ever. This is best exlempified when he uses it threefold against Vegeta, and twentyfold against Freeza.

Ohh, there are so many choices!
My favorite would probably be the Genki Dama. It's such a pretty and powerful attack, and it was so HUGE in the Kid Buu saga.
Further more, I also like the Kamehameha performed by once feet, and the Human Extinction attack from Buu. Don't know the exact name for that. ^^;

Duo, Sokidan (Spirit ball) was used in the Tree of Might, if you've never seen it. And I think it was used in filler right before the fight against the Saiya-jin, when Tenshinhan, Yamcha and Chauzu fought two Saiya-jin in the room of space and time. But... you might've just meant in the canon series. In that event... it probably was never used again because Yamcha never did much past the Saiya-jin saga-- and even then, he was killed fairly quickly, albeit... cheaply.
and Makankōsappō was also used more than once... If memory serves, Piccolo had to use it twice against Raditz. After that, it was used more by enemies who copied it from Piccolo than Piccolo himself.
And since we're talking about Piccolo techniques! When I think about it, his techniques are all my favorites and all completely useful! Makankōsappō (Special Beam Cannon) and Kakusanyudokodan (Hellzone Grenade) are incredibly awesome. Throw his extendable arms (Nobiru ude), ability to grow several times his size (Kyodaika), ability to shoot lazers from his eyes (Kousengan) and blasts from his mouth (Kochikarakikouha), and the fact that he can regenerate almost any injury (Sai Sei) makes Piccolo, in my opinion, one of the best fighters in the series.

Believe it or not, it's the Fusion Dance.
Why?
One, it's completely hilarious to watch, even when the kids are doing it. It about makes me roll seeing Vegeta and Goku do it, especially considering Vegeta's pride. The whole while, he always seems to have that 'I'll shoot anyone who sees this' look. Not that I could blame him.
Two: I think it's an awesome idea and it isn't an easy feat to accomplish. To become a so-called ultimate warrior you must mirror your partner exactly. Talk about knowing who you're working with. You pretty much have to think the same. Hard...and with limitations of time when you finally get it right! I love techniques that have limits but can do some damage if done right.
But in a close second, I have to say Genki Dama.
It's an awesome idea, gathering aid from every living thing on the earth. I think my all time favorite one though would be the Universal Genki Dama used in Dragonball GT. That's a heck of a lot of ki!

I'll just go with the old school and say kamehameha. It was the first, and it stuck till the last. Also, it's blue, definite plus. I kinda like how they have to say it and build up to it, seems very cathartic. Ka-me-ha.....yeah, you get the idea. Nothing like it.
