It's been bothering me for a while now and I wanted to know if anyone had any out of universe theories for why Super got rid of Gokû and Vegeta's F dougi and armor after the Champa arc. I like their F and Champa arc outfits a lot and was sad to see them dropped immediately after the arc was over with no discernible reason.
I have a couple theories:
-Someone high up prefers their BOG outfits
-Someone thinks there's better brand recognition/nostalgia in reverting them to their old outfits
-Maybe the BOG outfits are easier to animate? Gokû's F and Champa arc outfit is very flowy compared to his regular BOG dougi. Vegeta's F and Champa arc outfit is a lot more detailed to draw than his Cell arc outfit.
-They want to make more ssjblue figures, but this time with the BOG outfits? (Even though their F and Champa arc outfits seem designed purposely to make them not look overwhelmingly blue.)
Thoughts and theories?

It might just be for recognition. They only changed for these filler episodes. They might change back when the new arc starts.
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

But who said they "got rid" of the F ones? The new arc didn't even start yet..
The obvious reason in my mind is that they're not wearing them because they're not training with Whis, and that's probably the idea here.

I was not specific and/or didn't say it the best way I could've.
Instead of "got rid", I guess more like "swapped out".
I consider eps 42-46 to be a "filler and/or bridge" mini-arc.
I hope the swap out is just for the filler episodes and they return to their "Whis' students" dougi and armor once the Future Trunks Returns arc starts. Imagining ssjblue Vegeta in his Cell arc outfit clashes something awful imo.

I actually hope they're something slightly different when the new arc starts. Z changed the outfits slightly with each new arc (with Vegeta receiving the largest changes). Hoping to see that continue in Super.

Probably cause the animators were told to draw them with the new ougis only during the God Special Situations only (training with them/the tournament).
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Maybe they see their regular uniforms as more "casual" for training around the house instead of with Whis.
Sorry, "ot of universe" -- I think their new outfits are more detailed (at least Vegeta's is) so they save them for special occasions. It might also be a contrast issue for him. Maybe they also like them being in their more "Recognizable" outfits in between sagas.

Like I said in another topic, I think it might be just a presentation issue. They have those outfits in the opening, so they don't want to phase them out completely from the show. Gohan now is back to his previous design too, fitting his appearance in the opening.
That could also explain why they threw away some production art of bald Kuririn in the tournament and let his hair regrow as soon as the Revival F arc finished, since he's in two scenes of the opening with hair (although the final shot of the opening is still using the Revival F designs). Anyway, I hope we get Revival F style redesigns for everyone again in the Goku Black arc. It could also go alongside a new opening shortly afterwards for the one year mark.
