Like does the fusion dance have any sort of rule that two pairs of fusees cannot in turn fuse with each other?
4 farmers line up, one pair does the fusion dance then the other pair does and then both fused farmers fuse together to make a double fused farmer, is that possible?
Same question with the potara, is there any rule that prevents another person from taking an already fused potara pairing and then fusing on top of that?

Is There Any Limit To Fusion?

- I didn't quite understand the first question.
- Yes. Akira Toriyama confirmed in one of the many interviews back in 2014, Metamoran fusion accepts more than two people to merge.
- I think a Potara earring just combine with its similar. A pair of earrings have different properties than the others, which could make unable a pair of earrings merging with another pair of earrings.

I don't know. You run into a logic problem that the first two sets of farmer's fusions should wear off before the final fusion. Honestly? I'd so no...but that doesn't mean you couldn't take the recent Toriyama interviews to heart like DB Fusions did and just have all four fuse into one being.theherodjl wrote:Like does the fusion dance have any sort of rule that two pairs of fusees cannot in turn fuse with each other?

It's stated that a person can only use the to fuse once, but that's arguably because after the fusion is complete, those individuals should cease to exist. So Goku can't fuse with two sets of earrings, but presumably Goku could fuse into Vegetto and then Vegetto could fuse in to someone else with a new partner.theherodjl wrote:Same question with the potara, is there any rule that prevents another person from taking an already fused potara pairing and then fusing on top of that?
Kaioshin and Kibito fuse by just taking off one of their own earrings. So it doesn't matter if they're from the same pair.Grimlock wrote:- I think a Potara earring just combine with its similar. I suppose anyone wearing them nearby someone else wearing a pair needs to be really careful if they're considering taking them off. I doubt they want to deal with a lot of "oh shit" moments.

I would like to see a potara scene of two people being in different rooms. Like classic "bump against a wall" scenes.

Re: Is There Any Limit To Fusion?
As far as multiple stacking dance fusions go, there's a question of what would happen when a fused fusee's time limit expires while he's still fused.
Two potara fuses should be able to dance fuse (or in the case of the hypothetical Goku/Dende potara fusion, Namek fuse, maybe).
But I took it as very clear that two potara fusions cannot further potara fuse. Earlier in the conversation, after Kibito and the Supreme Kai have fused, the Elder Kai establishes that it's permanent. That already covers the fact that the two fusees do not and will never again exist to do anything, including fuse again.
Next chapter, later and separately, the Elder Kai also tells them that it's only one fusion lifelong. I take that to mean that potara fusions do not stack.

Re: Is There Any Limit To Fusion?
I would think stacking fusion dance is possible, but it would decrease the time limit. For example 2 people fusing would have a 30 minute time limit but 4 people would have only 15 minutes, or something like that.
What is more interesting to me is what happens if two pairs of people fuse with the fusion dance, and then the two fusions fuse with potara earrings. What happens when the dance time limit expires?
