I kinda don't understand the opening post, but yeah, I am already saying this for years and feel you.
Since the new videogames and after 2008 OAV special, Goten and Trunks are just Gotenks fodder, whom gets slapped on his ass seconds after emerging.
They were my favorite characters when I was a kid!

Gotenks was spanked and LOLed at by Copy Vegeta in BASE... Cabba in Base was shown to be a bit of a problem for Base Vegeta and next chapter SSJ Trunks against SSJ Goku

We gave no context for Goku and Trunks going Super Saiyan. I thought Super have taught us not to trust their previews, otherwise Goku went Super Saiyan against Botoma.

We've literally have not seen the scene outside of edit cuts. Super's previews are known to be untrustworthy. I mean, just this recent episode proved that since the way it was said last week, Goku and Vegeta should be heading to the future.

Again in changes nothing about this thread... Even if next chapter we see Future Tunks as Super Saiyan being beaten by Base Goku it doesn't change the fact that we still do not need or think to believe that Super Saiyan THREE Gotenks is stronger...

Vegeta fight a feeble Cabba.
Cabba suddenly turn SSJ and increase his strenght beyond what Vegeta predicted. Turning from a timid guy into aggressive and technical.
"Nice, but that's not enough", and Vegeta pawned him away with a blow.

Gotenks fight with an enraged, willing to kill BEYOND GOD Vegeta (you forgot is the equivalent of a fair match with Beerus, that pawned SSJ3 with a TOUCH).

Trunks deliver a full powered, enraged punch to Goku, that Goku stop so easily...

In the NEP, you only see Goku turning SSJ. Why? Easily. To show Trunks he's the original Goku.
There's no hint about ANY fight between the two, or any hint this fight will be fair.

You see the two clashing, literally. So they do fight. The rest you can judge as you will.

I think it's a bit too premature to consider Gotenks fodder. Cabba never did anything all that impressive, so I don't get where the notion that Cabba "owned" him feat wise.
