June R2 DVD Releases

Post by Tsukento » Tue May 16, 2006 1:03 am

Looks like Amazon.co.jp's got the new covers up. o_o And they're STILL as badass as ever.

Vol. 22: http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000ENUYSQ/
Vol. 23: http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000ENUYT0/
Vol. 24: http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000ENUYTA/

Gotta love the covers for Vol. 22 and 24.

22 and 24 are indeed badass.

However, 23 has #16 looking a tad too happy....

He never was one to look as evil as #17 and #18 did. :P You could say he's Dragon Ball Z's #8.

Wow, those covers look awesome! I love how those new releases are all getting new cover art. The one with Vegeta looks great, and I also like the one of vol. 24.

Those are some very nicely drawn covers. I like the first one the best.
On hiatus.

The Super Saiyan Vegeta one is my new favorite of the Japanese Region 2 releases! Excellent art!

Hey folks, wanna give an update on something that caught my eye regarding the R2 DVDs. Figured it'd be better to post 'em here, as opposed to make another topic. :P

Seems Amazon's got a good number of the previous DVDs on sale. Here are the ones available and the prices (along with the percantage off you'd be getting it).

DBZ Vol. 01 - ¥3,120 (22%)
DBZ Vol. 04 - ¥3,157 (21%)
DBZ Vol. 05 - ¥3,120 (22%)
DBZ Vol. 13 - ¥3,192 (20%)
DBZ Vol. 14 - ¥3,192 (20%)
DBZ Vol. 15 - ¥3,192 (20%)
DBZ Vol. 16 - ¥3,072 (23%)
DBZ Vol. 18 - ¥3,042 (24%)
DBZ Vol. 19 - ¥3,192 (20%)
DBZ Vol. 20 - ¥3,192 (20%)
DBZ Vol. 21 - ¥3,192 (20%)

For some reason, it seems abit spread out. No clue why Vol. 17 isn't on sale but everything else from 13 to 21 is. The one that stands out most is Vol. 18, which is the ending of the Freeza saga and begining of the..gah..Garlic Jr. (filler) arc. Vol. 16's the second cheapest since it's gonna be one of those must-get DVDs since it features Goku's first Super Saiyan transformation.

Hopefully everything else will be on sale sometime soon. I know I'm definately gonna go nuts with these to keep up with the amount of DVDs. :P
