Japanese games on PAL SNES

Hey guys! I've bought Dragon Ball Z: Supaa Saiya Densetsu and Super Gokuden: Totsugeki-hen on eBay and I wanted to play it on my European SNES. I know that I need an adapter for those games, I have an "Universal Adaptor" which works well for many Japanese games, however when I put those Dragon Ball cartridges, nothing happens. Is there a way to play those games on PAL SNES?
