Will there finally be a tense arc?

Do you guys think that super will finally have an arc where whis and beerus finally get threatened and pushed to their limits? If the omni tournament happens after this trunks arc, I have a bad feeling it will just be a bigger version of the U6 tournament.

How do you know Beerus and Whis won't get threatened, remember Zeno is getting involved.

Obviously the 12 universe tournament will be a bigger tournament.

You may be right but thus arc may just seem like goku/vegeta/trunks fight, while whis and beerus just chill in the back as always. As for the omni tournament, it may just be the gods representing their universes and sitting on the sidelines again

I have a feeling that in the tournament Whis and Beerus will help Goku & Co from the other gods because Whis said that they are much more violent so yea there is a chance

I guess it depends on what you consider tense. If you mean something that threatens the lives of our cast and their world, then I've been hoping that this current arc we are in would become that.
Just got to see if it goes in that direction. I suppose the universal arc could be tense but I have a hard time seeing a tournament have stakes too high. Especially considering how the last one went.

Unless the Namekian Dragon Balls bite the dust and Super goes beyond EOZ, I don't hold too much stock in a truly tense arc.

Goku Black is not a tense arc? The guy eradicated humans in the future and chased trunks across time to finish him off. He is a dark character.

He is no threat to Goku or Vegeta at this point. Goku could have gone SSB in their fight and destroyed him with a single punch.

We can only get an arc as tense as a story set before EoZ can provide, nothing more, nothing less.

Even then, there are still some things that can go down and not affect the ending? Whose to say Future Trunks is not dead by the end of Z thanks to being killed by Black? There's room for things to happen.

I think a tense arc would require Beerus and Whis to be absent for it. I feel like as long as they're where the action is that everyone is ok (which is why the Gokû Black in Future Trunks' timeline was tense imo; they were nowhere to be seen).

He's a dark character but he has no impact on the present timeline as of yet. I think when people want tension they mean something that's endangering the here and now, not someone stuck in the future with very little people left alive.
