Well they had supposedly wiped each other out on Universe 6's Earth. Maybe it's all related to that.

I was actually thinking about how Kami was initially reluctant to fix the Dragonballs since he felt all it did was bring the greed in people (tthe anime uses images of Roman-esque warriors fighting each other, Pilaf, and the Red Ribbon Army).

Humans in dragonBall is basically sentinent beings. Not just earthlings. I think it's weird too lol

Well, only one human (Dr. Gero) was able to create the strongest warrior on the universe at that moment (Cell), another single human (Bulma) was able to creat a time machine that creates different timelines and messes with space time continuum. Imagine what the whole human civilization is capable of in Dragon Ball. Maybe Black or Zamazu realized that humans were an actual threat to the multiverse and decided to do something about it. But things are really confusing right now, because Zamazu looks like he's not evil. Let's see what gets revealed in the next episode.

I'm getting really confused by the whole "ningen" thing. On the one hand it does mean any living being, not just humans. On the other, Black seems to be specifically talking about earthlings.

I mean if he detests all living beings, why take one of theirs' body? Why constantly refer to Trunks as a Saiyan, while refer to everyone else as "ningen"?

I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.
