Unseen Transformations

Post by Kid Buu » Fri Jul 22, 2016 4:19 pm

Are there any transformations we knew were possible, but never saw? For example, if Vegeta did kill Cell, then we would have never seen his final form, even though we knew it was possible.

The only things that come to mind are Oozaru forms for characters like Raditz, and I guess other Super Saiyan forms for characters like Kid Trunks. I was wondering if there were any other examples.

Does base Gogeta count?

Depending on how you interpret the combined materials, Cold could have later forms.

I would say it does. The same goes for forms like SS2 and SS3 for Gogeta and for Vegetto as well; unless we're counting DB Heroes (I believe that's the game that has all of the wacky what-if transformations?).

Super Saiyan Pan. Literally unseen during Battle of Gods.

I guess something like Super Saiyan 2 Gotenks. I mean could h really have achieved 3 without getting 2? This isn't Bruits waves or Saiyan hand-holding that we're talking about here :P

One could argue that this was Gotenks briefly showing off SS2 while in the process of transforming into SS3:

Hmm... Maybe... But it's a weird thing because the first time that we actually see a transformation, there's all this hoopla. They're standing around, powering up, screaming, veins-a-bulgin', aura-a-blastin'. And then once we see it once, suddenly they turn it on and off like a night light. So if this wasn't Gotenks's first time turning Super Saiyan 3, why go through the show? (Pstt, it's for us ;) ) lol But that is pretty interesting.

My point is that it could be him as Super Saiyan 2, or it could be the hoopla leading up to us seeing Super Saiyan 3 for the first time.

Do you think Kami or Nail could have gone Giant?

Kami yes (as he is the same as Piccolo), Nail... don't know. It could be a technique belonging to Piccolo.

Daizenshuu 4 happens to attribute his giant growth as a Mazoku technique. If you're to believe that, only Piccolo Daimao, Piccolo Jr., and Slug are capable. That's assuming only Mazoku members can learn it anyway.

Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta.

Also, what's SSG3? Are you referring to SSJ3 or something else?

Super Saiyan "Grade 3," the super-bulked-up form Trunks used which made him stronger than (suppressed) Cell but too slow to hit him.

Ah yes. In that case, did we ever see SSJ 2nd Grade Future Trunks?

SSJ4 Gohan

If fusion counts...the list is endless.

Forgive the Google results, but you get the idea.

I see, thank you! It would be cool if they brought them back in Super, but they're so useless, there's no need!

Anyhow, there's also SSJ God and Blue Gohan.

As far as transformations that technically should be possible, but never ended up happening outside of fanfiction territory... Freeza in a "super evolution" form along the lines of what Cooler managed to develop. Not the ridiculously huge leap in power that the "ultimate evolution" form (aka Golden Freeza) was, but also not the stamina-draining wreck of a transformation (on par with SSj3 for uselessness in a long drawn-out battle) that form turned out to be.

100% power Mecha-Freeza, too. It's even stated that his full strength is "way more than this" by Gohan when he senses the power Freeza's putting off upon arriving on Earth, and there's definitely never a big powering-up sequence or any bulking-up like the first time he went to 100% on screen. Would he still bulk up like before or would the mechanical parts make that impossible? Or are they built in such a way that they actually expand and take on a different form when the organic parts of his body bulk up for 100% power...?

And going a little further into speculative territory here... Cell in his versions of other Saiyan forms. We saw him use the "Grade 3" form and what was essentially Super Saiyan 2, and ever since Imperfect Cell reached the peak of his power he displayed a Super Saiyan-like aura whenever he powered up so I figure that was the point when he first unlocked his "Super Saiyan-ish" state. But what about Cell's take on SSj3 -- would it just look like Super Perfect Cell with a bigger aura or would he physically change in some way too, since SSj3 has physical changes other than just the hair? How about God Cell... a red-eyed, slimmed-down version of Perfect Cell? Heck, what would happen if he saw the full moon -- does his tail have the transformation-inducing function of a Saiyan tail? I know Imperfect Cell certainly reacted like he was in pain when #16 grabbed his tail, even before he started to yank it off... so it's possible he had something like the "tail weakness" of the Saiyans in that form (maybe as motivation to reach the higher forms -- "see, you still have an obvious weak point, you can't be perfect yet like that even if you are the strongest in the universe!")
