Did Akira Toriyama design the fused character of Beerus and Whis?

As the title says. Did Akira Toriyama Design that Character? And does the character even have a name? He looks very cool imo. What do you guys think of his design?

Or did someone at toei design him? Seems a little to professional for a simple fan to pull this of right?
I'm surprised the dragon ball wiki hasn't even given him his own character page. He's nowhere mentioned there.

"Birusuisu" (ビルスイス) is an EX-Fusion from the upcoming Dragon Ball Fusions for the Nintendo 3DS; his design debuted in last month's August 2016 issue of V-Jump:

There is no indication that Toriyama had anything to do with the new fusion designs on display in that game (other than pre-existing characters and designs he has done, such as for "Piririn"). This doesn't make them "fan-made", however. They're as official as any other piece of merchandise that comes out from the rights-holders.

The video you've showcased here has used mods to adjust characters in the PC version of Dragon Ball XENOVERSE.

Yes, I agree. Beerusis/Beeruswhis/whatever is what I would prefer as the style of Beerus, I guess.

Agreed. It's by far one of the better fusions the game has created, and I wouldn't have minded it standing as a completely separate entity either.

It looks better than most fanmade/game mod versions of this particular fusion I've seen.

Thanks for the explanation! Still a pretty uncomfortable name to use. And as usual Akira Toriyama may have provided a quick rough draft of the design on paper for toei to give it colors. But nonetheless he has an extremely cool and "godly" design. If AT was the one who came up with him then it gives me a reason to praise him xD

This is unlikely. In 99.99999999% of these cases, Shueisha highlights that fact with a giant splash announcing Toriyama's design and generally showcases a small sample of his original sketch alongside the final design.

Lack of confirmation does not inherently confirm non-confirmation (follow that?!), but when it comes to cases like Toriyama designs, it generally does speak volumes if you don't see a confirmation there.

No. There has been nothing about any involvement in this game. Along the same lines as the various Shueisha publications reporting on it if there were, WE would have reported on it, too!

Well as for his design.. I totally LOVE it! He looks so "Godly" and threathening, dangerous and imposing. While also looking extremely cool and "unique" all the same! A truly Godly and Special looking being. Whoever designed him did a really good job. And i hope he might make an appearance in super later down the road. While i also want him to have little screentime. And only appearing twice so that it stays special and doesn't become random or boring. The same would've happened if Vegetto didn't defuse back inside majin boo's body. So i'm glad he got defused!
