What do you think about Sean schemmel deleting his twitter?
So Sean Schemmel deleted his twitter over fans' questioning over the dub, what do you think about it?

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Wasn't sure if this was thread worthy but initially I was sympathetic towards him until he told Sabat to F off when Sabat replied with a good spirited joke.
Sean is a bit too rash and hot headed sometimes. Maybe it's good he's off, clear some air for him. No doubt it's frustrating not being able to say a thing, though as people said he handled it poorly. I will miss him as he is quite interactive with fans.

I won't comment on this matter, but I did want to say that I got a laugh out of seeing what Sabat now has in his Twitter profile box: "DB SUPER DUB = SO WISH I KNEW"
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

I felt a tad bad for him at first but him insulting Chris Sabat was rude.

He's had that up for months now since the whole Douglas thing. He's stopped updating it which is unfortunate as they're quite hilarious!TheBlackPaladin wrote:I won't comment on this matter, but I did want to say that I got a laugh out of seeing what Sabat now has in his Twitter profile box: "DB SUPER DUB = SO WISH I KNEW"

Couldn't he have just said "Stop asking"? I know not everyone would listen, but I don't see why he can't just ignore them.

Re: What do you think about Sean schemmel deleting his twitter?
Well to be fair to him he has done several times. Even gave a pre warning that he's gonna quit twitter in hopes people would back off but the point he was trying to make was that it wasn't only twitter people but at cons too and they're much harder to ignore. (Though he did lose a lot of points by putting that hashtag at the end.)Anime Kitten wrote:Couldn't he have just said "Stop asking"? He said, "F*** you". Yeah. I'm surprised too. The tweet's been deleted along with his Twitter but I think Ajay had a screenshot of it.kinisking wrote: What did he do?
Edit:Just found it. Here's the link to the Sabat's tweet and Sean's response. He deleted his Twitter after this.

Where is this this tweet telling Sabat to F off? Are we positive that it wasn't a friendly jab between men who've known each other for the better part of two decades?
Re: What do you think about Sean schemmel deleting his twitter?
Thanks man, that's crazy. I've lost a lot of respect for Schemmel... Crazy how Vegeta's voice actor is the calm one and Goku's hot headed. He said, "F*** you". Yeah. I'm surprised too. The tweet's been deleted along with his Twitter but I think Ajay had a screenshot of it.

It couldn't be a friendly jab because Sabat was surprised.nickzambuto wrote:Where is this this tweet telling Sabat to F off? Are we positive that it wasn't a friendly jab between men who've known each other for the better part of two decades?

I've had many friends when we've told one another to fuck off (both jokingly and in the occasional moment of frustration), but it's seldom something that sticks as a malicious point (even on the rare occasion where one is mad at the other).
Different people handle frustrating situations differently. Maybe a few months off twitter will do the man's stress and frustration some good.

It's still pretty sad that this of all things lead him to get frustrated... Try to see it from his perspective. The average person can get fairly annoyed by one person bugging you about something you can't talk about. Now make that a thousand plus people, and make it where you're bugged every single day by many people for months on end, despite asking nicely many times for them to stop.kinisking wrote:It's still pretty sad that this of all things lead him to get frustrated... I can certainly sympathize with that kind of frustration. Social Media makes it a little easy to bug someone like that.

Sean overreacted, but Sabat's remark was still dickish.kinisking wrote:Eh, Sabat was teasing him. Schemmel overreacted.Kanassa wrote:Wait, Sean's the only one being a dick there? Re: What do you think about Sean schemmel deleting his twitter?
I'm not a professional though, he is. He should know how he acts represents his company as a whole, and should reflect on that whenever he makes a decision. They way he acted was very selfish and immature. How hard can it be to just tune the other people out?? Just look at Sabat, and then him. There is a clear difference in character and i'm not talking about the ones they voice..Mewzard wrote:Try to see it from his perspective. Re: What do you think about Sean schemmel deleting his twitter?
I felt Sabat's remark was a little teasing but it did add some truth and perspective. Most fans are excited and ask the VAs constantly about Super because they love their work and they're dying to see if. I would think he'd be more like Sabat in that regard and try and understand the fan's perpectives.Kanassa wrote:Sabat's remark was still dickish.
Not to mention, many of these fans are kids and they're excited kids at that. I'm often hyperactive and excited when I wanna see something. I have a habit of being annoying when that happens but people don't rage at me for it. Most adults will be stern or ignore the issue. Throwing a mini tantrum isn't going to help anything and is only going to make the situation worse.
