Improved Black Goku voice
Here's my latest Black Goku fandub, I believed the voice has improved since last time. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, that voice is whack. You sound like one a' them preppie white boys; you don't sound like no black Goku to me, bruthaTheUltimateVegito wrote:Here's my latest Black Goku fandub, I believed the voice has improved since last time. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Still a too deep/gravely for my tastes.

This reminds me of the Big Green Dub.

Guys, guys, I think he gets it; I was being facetious in order to tell a joke. I was pretending that he was trying to voice an African American Goku (the "brutha" and "you don't sound like no", and "preppy white boys" was all a clue to this). I was never intending to start a stream of criticism where nobody gave him anything advice beyond vague statements like "too deep and gravelly" and "sounds like the big Green Dub". Honestly, how is he supposed to work on his craft when that's the only kind of advice he gets?
So, in all seriousness, UltimateVegito...
1) The main problem I see isn't that your voice is too deep or anything (one of the dub Goku's throughout the world had a pretty deep voice too, and he sounded fine); it's that you slur some of your dialogue. That might be because you're trying to capture the "hick" accent; this might be fine, except, Black is a different character than Zawasu. Zawasu would therefore have a very different speaking style.
2) I will say though, that LAUGH sounded really good; I'd work on your English before you worked on anything else, but I enjoyed that laugh!

Yeah, I got the joke lol and thanks for the feedback. I was mainly trying to fit the dialogue with the lip syncing but it seems I'll have to work more on my voice acting.Fionordequester wrote:Guys, guys, I think he gets it; I was being facetious in order to tell a joke. Nah, not the acting; just your enunciations. I mean if you believe there's improvement to be made on your acting down the road, that's fine; but the slurring is the most immediate problem. So I'd work on some tongue twisters like these...TheUltimateVegito wrote:Yeah, I got the joke lol and thanks for the feedback. Repeat all of them three times; do them all as fast as you can while still doing them as CLEARLY as you can (if that mans going at a snails pace, that's fine).

Ah, alright. I'll be sure to focus more on enunciation as well, especially with the link you gave me. Again, thanks for this feedback.Fionordequester wrote:Nah, not the acting; just your enunciations. My pleasure; also, I'm really looking forward to hearing your performance as Vegetto in the Multiverse Audio Drama. Just felt like mentioning that.
