Dragonball: Advanced Adventure Released Early
Well, I guess now its official. Advanced Adventures is released earlier then expected. You can now look for this game in stores! Go! I coulndt resist to buy it, the game is awsome if you love those 2-D style games. I figured I'd have to really search for this game but it was actually at the first store I went to.

The devloper's name is Banpresto I think (i don't know if I spelt it right). Anyway, is it worth picking up? Is the combat engine fun and deep at the same time? Sorry about all the questionsTanooki Kuribo wrote:I don't know if it was made by the same people. The game is awsome though, it reminds me of those early 90's arcade games.

Well, there is a Banpresto logo in the opening, so I guess they did have a hand in it. Yes like I said before the game is fun. It isn't to deep because most of the story is played out by text and sprites, then you will enter a level based on the story. It goes all the way through the DB series though. It's really fun hitting the bad guys, I dont know why but its just one of those games where you hit someone and these numbers pop out of them and you feel like your actually defeating them based on how high the number comming out is. The combos are easy, like up and A or down and B. It's a fun game just get it you won't be disapointed. The devloper's name is Banpresto I think ....

Banpresto is a subsidary of Bandai. It's pretty much an internal game.
Anyway, not yet for I. Checked both EB and Target this evening. Nada yet!

Dimps developed Advance Adventure (as well as the "Dragon Ball Z"(Budokai) PS2 games). Banpresto/Bandai-Namco Games published it. Like VegettoEX mentioned Banpresto is a subsidary of Bandai. Just think of Banpresto as a "sister company" to Bandai.DevilsAlwaysCry wrote:The devloper's name is Banpresto I think (i don't know if I spelt it right). Anyway, is it worth picking up? What is the devloper's name that is headed by one of the men that made SFII? I thought it was Banpresto, but I guess not.Sebastian (SB) wrote:Dimps developed Advance Adventure (as well as the "Dragon Ball Z"(Budokai) PS2 games). Banpresto/Bandai-Namco Games published it. You're thinking of Funamizu and his studio Craft and Meister, who worked on Super DragonBall Z for Bandai.DevilsAlwaysCry wrote:What is the devloper's name that is headed by one of the men that made SFII? I thought it was Banpresto, but I guess not.

Oh okay, thanks for the help. I was really confused about what the hell Banpresto was for a bitVegettoEX wrote:You're thinking of Funamizu and his studio Craft and Meister, who worked on Super DragonBall Z for Bandai.DevilsAlwaysCry wrote:What is the devloper's name that is headed by one of the men that made SFII? Well, I'll be sure to check out my local Wal*Mart and Target stores tomorrow for this game. There is just something about the GameBoy Advanced, DragonBall / Z games that always have me hooked. Wow, this will be the first GameBoy game I've bought in about the last year. Guess I didn't see any good games advertised for it, but seeing as I'm a rabid DragonBall fanatic, I'll have to get it.
I do have a question though, "Does it resemble any of the Legend of Goku games for the GameBoy Advanced?"

Two questions:
Is the title screen music different from the original Japanese version? (Makafushigi Adventure. The Euro version changed it so I'd assume this is different as well)
Did they redub the voices in English? (The grunts and so forth. The voices remained Japanese in the Euro version.)
Thanks.

I have had this game for a long time now. I imported the European version because I did not think it was coming out here. I can say for a fact that this game is well worth a purchase. It is one of the most entertaining GBA games I've played since I purchased the system.
I will be interested to hear if there is anything about the USA release that differs from the European version I own. Keep us updated, those of you who are picking it up.

If no one beats me to it, I'll give you guys updates on what is in this game, that is once I purchase it, hopefully later today. Only reason I haven't purchased it yet is because I felt like hearing some more from you guys in this thread. As of now, I think I've heard all I need to.
I was in your shoes where I had to decide if I should import the game or not, Akira. I am quite glad I did not.
