VHS to Computer Question

Post by veshira » Tue Jun 06, 2006 11:11 pm

I've gotten this idea for a music video that's original (to the best of my knowledge), and I can finally make use of all my Buu Saga VHSs. However, instead of using an editting deck and two VCRs (which I don't find accurate enough and frankly won't have access to over the summer), I'd like to rip the episodes from VHS, and get it onto my computer.

My first idea was that if I could hook up my digital camera to my VHS and simply record, then put it on my computer, then that'd be fine, but I also wanted other opinions, from people with experience.

Err... Nobody has actually answered (for like 4 days), so... I guess I'll say something? :? Good luck with the AMV! I've got some awesome ideas in my head, but I just don't have the footage or software. Damn. :x I had 3 excellent ideas (no kidding). But... Maybe you could do them?

From the lack of response, I don't suppose there is anybody with "experience!" So, just record using your camera.

Thanks. :) I'll try my best. Maybe I'll post it in my signature, if I ever figure out how to get the footage on my computer.

You need a video capture card.

I personally use a Pinnicale Studio 9 A/V.
