Episode 66 is the most hated episode even more than episode 5..
At the same time one of the best episodes in Super
Re: Episode 66 is the most hated episode even more than episode 5..
The most hated? No, not by a long shot. Episode 5 brought out more hate, hell, even a few episodes back brought out more. It's the most divided.

Yeah exactly, it is the most divided. I think OP you mean most talked about, because that is certainly true.Kanassa wrote:The most hated? No, not by a long shot. Episode 5 brought out more hate, hell, even a few episodes back brought out more. It's the most divided.
Re: Episode 66 is the most hated episode even more than episode 5..
Honestly I agree that divided is probably the best way to describe it. Personally I really liked how it ended, but dislaked the way it was done - it was rushed, after several episodes where of pointless dragging and stuff that just came out of nowehere (the genki dama, Vegetto defusing because he used to much power... sigh, etc.) but at the same time, it was beautifull how Trunks was the one who got to defeat the villain in a rather spectacular way.

I for once love it the most. I'd like to see Trunks transforming into anything but just was some fan wank.
Re: Episode 66 is the most hated episode even more than episode 5..
Most polarizing episode so far. Based on the reactions so far people either really love it or hate it.
Re: Episode 66 is the most hated episode even more than episode 5..
Funny isn't it? People hated Episode 5 because the animation was so bad, they bring out Episode 66 with really good animation, they bring back Vegito that people had wanted for a long time and had Trunks beat the big bad instead of Goku which people always complained about and instead of being happy about that people are whining because of some insignificant possible retcon of the potara rules.
It's certainly a very spoiled fanbase, it always has been.

Making a lot of assumptions about why people hate this. Sure, in the broadest of strokes its good but the execution is bad, has been for five episodes straight now.Bullza wrote:Funny isn't it? When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

That's the reason i think the Dragonball fanbase are one of the worst fanbases

Well of course that's your opinion, the guy mentioned there's other reason for why people hate this episode.Lujin_16 wrote:For you but not for meekrolo2 wrote:Making a lot of assumptions about why people hate this. Indeed. There's no neutral reaction, i just saw enthusastic or very angry people out there.Yedis wrote:Most polarizing episode so far. Based on the reactions so far people either really love it or hate it.

That's a very, very subjective opinion without ground at all. I mean your topic. I agree that it's one of the, if not THE best episode of Super, heck maybe even of all Dragon Ball combined.Lujin_16 wrote:At the same time one of the best episodes in Super

Pretty sure anything involving "muh badazz ssj2 rage ultimate g0hun is now a nerd" is hated more...
All jokes aside, I haven't seen a lot of people hate the episode. I think it's mostly just the same people protesting over and over that makes it seem like it's hated more than it really is (this is not aimed at anyone here btw.)

Episode #5 hate was overexaggerated to the max. Not to mention, the entire fanbase became an animation expert after watching that episode. They posted in-betweens and called it bad animation, nonsensical comments like fan animation is better than Super's animation, sending petitions to Toei and what not. I don't think we've got that levels of bullshit for #66 yet.

You got to recognize without the fanrage Super would certainly have not gotten better like it did so you could be a bit more thankful to the angry mobs lolSaikyo no Senshi wrote:Episode #5 hate was overexaggerated to the max. And honestly, #5 was horrible, still haunts me at night lol

The fanrage was nonsensical cause they didn't know what they were talking about. So, no I'm not going to be thankful. By the way do you really think Toei paid any attention to these fans? Come on, Toei ain't that stupid.PsionicWarrior wrote: You got to recognize without the fanrage Super would certainly have not gotten better like it did so you could be a bit more thankful to the angry mobs lol
The animation was always up and down from the start. As the staff got more used to working despite the pathetic schedule the improvement started to show.
I'm not going to pretend #5 was good. The 1st half was atrocious, but 2nd half was serviceable. Ootsuka Ken's repeat frames were nice and Tate's Kamehame-ha that destroyed Kaio's planet was fine. #24 was worse, but not many paid attention to it for some reason.wrote: And honestly, #5 was horrible, still haunts me at night lol

Yeah, exactly - and most of them are people that hate on pretty much everything the series do, anyway.Nekis13 wrote: All jokes aside, I haven't seen a lot of people hate the episode. It may seem more divisive than it really is because people don't come back to praise, only to complain, that's the internet after all. But from what I've seen, the "love it" crowd is much bigger.
And i have the feeling they actually wanted to have people talking about this episode. It's not usual to see such a mainstream franchise getting focus for one single episode in magazines like Animedia, as it happened last week.
