Timeline chart
I haven't actually watched the latest episode yet, just read the summary, but does this chart effectively explain all of the timelines and such?

Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147
Re: Timeline chart
To dot your chart with perspective, it should look like this.

Re: Timeline chart
So now we have like 7 timelines?
1) The Main timeline - DB/Z/S/GT
2) Future Trunks' world which was destroyed by Zen-Oh
3) Cell's timeline
4) Black's timeline where Black killed Goku's family
5) The new alternate Future Trunks' timeline where Beerus prevents Zamasu-crisis, now there are two Mais and two Trunks there.
6) The unseen timeline, which created Trunks from Cell's timeline (which I always assume is the "Super Android 17" movie's timeline)
7) this alternate timeline created by some guy from U12.
Now, it's really, really messed up
If I understood correctly what Whis said, when timeline is changed, the previous "original" timeline is now considered an alternate timeline and a green ring appeares, and the newly created timeline becomes the main timeline, is that correct? This says exactly: "You've already created a Time Ring yourself, Beerus-sama. (...) When you destroyed Zamasu, another world where Zamasu wasn't destroyed was born". For me it's a little illogical 'cause actually the new timeline should be the one where Zamasu WAS destroyed. It was original unaltered flow of time where Zamasu wasn't destroyed and became Black, but I see that Toriyama has a totally different, original point of view at this matter.
So it's like, when you change the timeline, the changed one is the main, and the original events become the alternate timelines? It's so complicated now ;o

For this exact reason i hope that the super characters won't mess with time ever again, they've really fucked up a lot of things, in fact Zeno even destroyed the streamsszopman wrote:So now we have like 7 timelines?

Next time our reality will be even more affected by Trunks's actions.

That's why they shouldn't adapt any "Xenoverse" games stuff into the series because probably they would create even bigger messdbs fanboy wrote:For this exact reason i hope that the super characters won't mess with time ever again, they've really fucked up a lot of things, in fact Zeno even destroyed the streamsszopman wrote:So now we have like 7 timelines?

Re: Timeline chart
There are currently six timelines.
Your phrasing is a bit disjointed for me. I'll just repeat what the episode stated. Whis' solution for helping Future Trunks is to place him before Zeno erases his first world. It's possible because Beerus created a Time Ring himself. The world that was born featured an alive Zamasu. Whis then states that he will warn that Beerus of the Zamasu menace and will seal him in a better container once the body is destroyed. After that is done, Future Trunks and Future Mai will go there.

All this makes me wonder who created the very first 時の指輪 / Time Ring?Nejishiki wrote:There are currently six timelines.

Re: Timeline chart
The manga continuity claims it was a human from Universe 12. It's not addressed in the anime continuity.
Re: Timeline chart
Wiss doesn't know how Black was created, so he said exactly what you said but with other words.szopman wrote:

But that confused me too, how did Bills created a new timeline if he never travelled in time?
So this should be how timelines are right now
1- Universe 12 mortal created it
2- Future Trunks timeline where Black appears
3- DBS Main Timeline
4- Cell's timeline
5- Black's timeline (Wiss was talking about this timeline when he said that Beerus created a new timeline, and the timeline created was #3)
6- New Future timeline, where Trunks and Mai are going now.

Re: Timeline chart

Nuff said on my part.
"Don't take pleasure in destruction!" / "I will not let you destroy my world!"
A true hero goes beyond not the limits of power, but the limits that divide countries and people.

Plus, there are now 7 timings which kind of confirms that. The sixth was created by Beerus (as showed in the last episode) + now they created also this new Trunks' timeline without Black. It is so super-confusing

Re: Timeline chart
I just thought of something: What if Future Trunks and Mai were sent to the timeline that Time Patrol Trunks is from?

What unseen timeline are you talking about? I always assumed that Trunks from #4 went to timeline #3
Re: Timeline chart
I'm talking about the timeline where Cell didn't show up. Trunks returned from this timeline, destroyed the Androids and was killed by Cell (because he didn't know that Cell even exists since he didn't show up in the 'past'.Alee9977 wrote:There are only 6 timelines.szopman wrote:There are 7 timelines. Look pretty good.
So in Black Timeline, If Black didn't blow up the earth and kill Dende, that mean there's Dragon Ball there, so this must be happening
