Isn't Zamasu/Black gone from all timelines and universes now?

Post by Angelus » Mon Nov 21, 2016 7:48 pm

Beerus said that when a god kills another god, it affects all timelines. The only reason why Zamasu was still around was because he had a Time Ring on in a different timeline. Now that Merged Zamasu was killed by another god, Zeno, wouldn't this mean that there's no longer any Zamasus around in any other timeline or universe? So where does Whis plan to go to bring Future Trunks and Mai?

The Time Ring worked different than you think. And Zenou just destroyed the universe and nothing else. Also it was never said that destroying a god affecting time would work in all directions. So no, Zamasu is around nonetheless. Just as Trunks and Mai go to another timeline where Zamasu will be taken care of.

I think Zeno destroyed more than just the one universe. I mean, Zamasu was spreading his visually presence to such an extent it could felt in different timelines, so it's a pretty safe bet he destroyed every universe in that timeline. I mean, he's destroyed several universes at a time for much less.

Beerus was bullshitting. Black survived because all Beerus had done was splinter the timeline; he had already jumped ship over to Trunks', and remained there.

For the record, Zamasu should still be alive in Cell's timeline and the "unseen" timeline.

At the end of the arc, Trunks and Mai return to a point in their own timeline before it's destroyed, and Whis plans to help save Beerus and head Black and Zamasu off before their plans gain traction. That'll create a splinter with a good outcome for everyone they know, but will make them duplicates to the Trunks and Mai already living in the period they return to, and won't undo the damage in the original version of events.
