His deaths was more like sacrificed but it will be the first time to see him die because of someone being stronger than himPsionicWarrior wrote:Well if it happens it would only be the 3rd time or so lol

Re: Goku dies On Christmas???
Taking Goku out of the picture for a bit and letting others have a turn is never a bad thing, its how most of the caste got their screen time in Z.
Edit: And the Super era too.

Indeed, but HOW Goku died wasn't a direct action of the opponent.PsionicWarrior wrote:I would argue both Cell and Raditz were stronger than him lolLujin_16 wrote:His deaths was more like sacrificed but it will be the first time to see him die because of someone being stronger than himPsionicWarrior wrote:Well if it happens it would only be the 3rd time or so lol
I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.

I know but I really don't see the difference much mate, you could argue for Raditz but Cell didn't even die in the process so it's really kinda the same lolChronoTwigger wrote: Indeed, but HOW Goku died wasn't a direct action of the opponent.

What does it matter if he dies? They have three sets of Dragon Balls, with two of those sets guaranteeing that none of the core cast will stay dead.

Where is it stated that Goku dies anyway? I think people are making a lot of assumptions based on nothing. Given Super's track record if Goku did die, they'd recon the regular size dragonballs to only be able to revive someone "X" number of times. Spend the rest of the arc searching for Super DB to resurrect him.Lord Beerus wrote:What does it matter if he dies? I'm not saying he is going to die. I'm saying that it won't matter if he does.MagmonKai wrote:Where is it stated that Goku dies anyway? If he does die it will be a good Christmas present
Sleeping until the tournament is over.

Goku is not going to die. Just because Hit has an order to assassinate Goku does not mean he succeeds.
I swear, some people jump the gun on the most minor of information.

Doesn't the title literally say "Goku Dies!!!", or something to that effect. Granted, they take a few more more liberties nowadays, but if that were in the old Japanese titles, Goku would definitely be dead when that episode came around.precita wrote:Goku is not going to die. The only reason that I think he might actually die is because it wouldn't matter anyway. We haven't seen much of the afterlife outside of anime-only material, which we all know holds very little weight, so Goku's death could have limitless world-building opportunities. Even if they didn't go that route, we could have an adventure arc, gathering the Super DB's to revive him. (That will totally never happen, just wishful thinking on my part.)

Re: Goku dies On Christmas???
The fact that it says that in the title is likely an announcement of the Hit order. I don't think Goku will die at all, there's no point.

Long-term, you're right, there's no point. But it could make an interesting story short-term. Either way, we'll see in just 2 more weeks.precita wrote:The fact that it says that in the title is likely an announcement of the Hit order. I don't think Goku will die at all, there's no point.

To use Doctor Who as an example, you'd think the episodes "Death of Doctor Who" (Part five of the sixth part serial "The Chase") and the spinoff Sarah Jane Adventures serial "Death of the Doctor" involve The Doctor being Killed Off For Real... Spoilers, he doesn't even regenerate in those episodes, let alone permanently die.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:Doesn't the title literally say "Goku Dies!!!", or something to that effect
Also, considering that apparently the Hit arc is filler, I don't doubt Goku will either survive or not be permanently dead.

Re: Goku dies On Christmas???
Dragon Ball has a long, decorated history of putting major spoilers in its titles. If you've owned the Dragon Boxes, which translate the Japanese titles rather than using Funimation's, I'm sure you've picked up on this. If it were any other series, I'd get you, but Dragon Ball historically lives up to its titles more often than not.Danfun64 wrote:To use Doctor Who as an example, you'd think the episodes "Death of Doctor Who" (Part five of the sixth part serial "The Chase") and the spinoff Sarah Jane Adventures serial "Death of the Doctor" involve The Doctor being Killed Off For Real... He wouldn't be permanently dead either way. We're still in the 10-year gap, Goku has to be alive and well until DBS transcends this time period. I don't think that the arc being anime-only has much to do with it.Danfun64 wrote:Also, considering that apparently the Hit arc is filler, I don't doubt Goku will either survive or not be permanently dead.

The next major arc will be announced in late December, about a week before Christmas. Naturally, it can't be the Hit Arc.Freeza9000 wrote:How do you know that it'd be filler?Danfun64 wrote:Also, considering that apparently the Hit arc is filler, I don't doubt Goku will either survive or not be permanently dead.

Big deal
IF he dies he'll just be wished back to life.
I'm really starting to loath those Dragonballs.
