How far was the Great Elder from Freeza's spaceship? Timewise, would it have been viable for Piccolo to get unlocked?

Before fusing with Piccolo, Nail could have pointed him at the direction of Guru's house. Well, would it have made much of a difference anyways if for example, the unlock from Guru boosted Piccolo's power to be on par with 3rd form Frieza instead of just being on par with 2nd form Frieza?
I know Piccolo was in a rush but Nail wasn't that extremely far from Guru's house anyways. Remember, Nail flew off from Guru's house and led Frieza somewhere to fight, in order to stall Frieza. But that location wouldn't be so extremely far off from Guru's house. Piccolo was already at the location where Nail and Frieza fought. Meaning, Guru was at a significant distance away, but not extremely far. Wasn't Piccolo already going to that direction anyways? How far off is Guru's house from where Frieza's spaceship was?

Re: Why didn't Nail suggest to Piccolo to drop by Guru's house to get unlocked?
Either
a) Piccolo wouldn't need it after fusing with Nail, because Nail had been unlocked; or
b) Guru was in the opposite direction to where Piccolo wanted to go, and it wouldn't be worth the trip; or
c) Nail knew Guru was dead or near-dead at this point.

Guru was still alive enough to live for a short while on Earth (before dying of obesity

Guru was wished back with Earth's dragonballs for that period. He technically died of a broken heart, but his weight might not have helped the matter.Angelus wrote:Guru was still alive enough to live for a short while on Earth (before dying of obesity)

I don't even know how he got so obese when the guy only drinks water

I don't think Piccolo would want to waist anymore time. Frieza could of killed Gohan or Krillin at any time.

Even if Guru was right next to Nail, Piccolo basically showed up in the nick of time as it was. If he wasted even a minute getting boosted, Freeza might have killed Gohan, Krillin or Vegeta.
Plus, wasn't Guru already dead by this point? He died right before first form Freeza showed up to confront Vegeta.

Ohhh. Yeah, was Guru already dead at this time?

Indeed he was.Angelus wrote:Ohhh. Yeah, was Guru already dead at this time?
The order of events:
1. Piccolo gets wished back.
2. Piccolo gets transported to Namek.
3. Gohan, Dende and Krillin fret over not having him arrive at their location, but then Vegeta shows up and manages to convince them to grant him immortality, but The Eldest dies and so too does Porunga.
4. Freeza shows up and powers up.
5. Piccolo feels this before finding Nail and you know the rest.
That is a good one and I can't even tell if it was intentionaldragon boss z wrote:I don't think Piccolo would want to waist anymore time. Frieza could of killed Gohan or Krillin at any time.

And when the wish was made to Shenron to revive those killed by Frieza and his minions, Goku was already a SSJ? Refreshing my memory

Yes that is correct.Angelus wrote:And when the wish was made to Shenron to revive those killed by Frieza and his minions, Goku was already a SSJ? Refreshing my memory
The wish made after Freeza had nuked Namek's core and after he had reached 100% power.

Did I make a joke or something without realizing it? The only thing I noticed is I used the wrong version of waste, lol.dbgtFO wrote:That is a good one and I can't even tell if it was intentionaldragon boss z wrote:I don't think Piccolo would want to waist anymore time. Ohhh so the only plausible way for Piccolo to meet Guru on Namek was if he respawned near Guru's house

Ah, it wasn't intentional.dragon boss z wrote:Did I make a joke or something without realizing it? And yeah it's waist. Thought it was a joke subtly pointing out The Eldest's fat waist, as Angelus talked a bit about His Fatness earlier.

Namek's water must have a lot of calories in it
Remember, he drank all the water on Namek. Team Four Star has taught us that as well as every lesson we need to know from life.
Also, Piccolo couldn't have gotten the power up because Guru had already died by the time Piccolo arrived.

Piccolo arrived at mere minutes before Guru died. There was a little bit of time when Vegeta was forcing Dende to ask the immortality wish. And also Gohan and Krillin bickering. If Piccolo was lucky enough to get respawned at Guru's house, he would have had maybe 3 minutes before Guru died. Enough time for an unlock

I doubt it would even make much of a difference, he most likely wouldn't gain enough power to stand up to third form Frieza.

I disagree. The boost krillin got was like a ten times boost.TheUltimateNinja wrote:I doubt it would even make much of a difference, he most likely wouldn't gain enough power to stand up to third form Frieza.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

We don't know if the potential unlock is actually a consistent multiplier, it may also simply be additive, Guru does have limits after all. At any rate, Given that 3rd form Frieza is easily several hundred thousands above Piccolo, I really don't think he can do it.kinisking wrote:I disagree.
