What will happen at the start of the Hit arc?
After seeing the preview for episode 71, it almost identical to what I have been thinking for the last few weeks. So i was wondering what People think will actually happen at the start of the arc as the first 2 episodes will probably define the arc in a big way.
So I think that Hit gets hired and knocks out Goku in 1 or 2 hits with Gohan and Piccolo being there or travelling there.
Goku is not dead but is unable to fight anymore. So Gohan gets angry and maybe gets 1 or 2 punches in but gets knocked out himself.
Piccolo tells Goten to go get help, in other words Vegeta.
Piccolo stalls for time and starts defending.
Vegeta and Trunks arrive and we get Gotenks, Vegeta and Piccolo in a 3 vs 1 fight while Gohan wakes up and takes Goku away to get healed and to try and get Beerus.
The fight continues and Hit thinks to himself that if Goku gets healed he might not be able to win against them all and is not sure if Beerus will interfere so he escapes and plans to return.
They form a team and Beerus takes them to Champa to help find Hit and that is all he will do for them as him and Champa will be going to try out some food maybe on universe 6's Earth.
I think that could be a good start.

I want Goku to die. Yes, he'll eventually be brought back to life, but if the plan is to have a full length filler arc with Hit as the main antagonist, I think it would beneficial if the supporting cast, Gohan, Piccolo, Tien, Krillin etc, are given a fair crack at the whip. We've already seen Goku fight Hit, and as much as I loved that fight, I wouldn't be that invested in a rematch. It would be really interesting to see some other characters taking on Hit, even though the gap in strength in huge between Hit and the cast.

Not that Piccolo vs hit would be anything short of freaking amazing, but if Gohan gets two shotted, how is piccolo gonna even look at him before hit kills him..namekiansaiyan wrote: Piccolo stalls for time and starts defending.
I suppose this could work if Gohan and piccolo both fight hit together while goten goes to get help..
Piccolo alone can manage against hit in only one circumstance, become a giant..
Hit can't hit all his Vital points if he can't reach them easily and penetrating through all that flesh is also gonna be tough..
It's not enough, but worth giving hit some trouble..
Whatever else you stated has a possibility to happen, but this would ruin hit's reputation as the flawless hit..
He wouldn't be too happy about this

What are the chances that, Hit, sees Goku's killing as not feasible?
There are a few arguments that would speak for it:
- Why kill a passive enemy (Hits perspective). They've earned each others respect, besides, Goku was willing to jump in for Hit the moment Champa got mad at his guys at the Tournament.
- If you get a request to kill someone that you "coincidentally" know for strong and peaceful, it looks suspicious.
- Why kill someone stronger then you, who could possibly be an ally in the future. Screw that, killing someone so strong would make yourself the next on the list.
- They have an unfinished fight, and both know a tournament is coming up.
- We know jack shit about Hits special technique(s), he may have isolated Gokus soul inside him somehow, cause Gokus body is physically there (isnt it the case that he gets to keep his body even if he dies, so technically, it must vanish if he dies? I cant remember much scenes of Goku lying down all dead, either he is alive on the reality realm or his at kaio with a halo on top.)

I was going to go into more detail with the Piccolo and I was going to mention bis giant form as it would be a great counter move but I dont think Toei are smart enough to do that. When not in giant form he should use multi form to dodge Hit's timeskip. I also meant he would do a lot of talking with Hit before actually fighting.Ki Breaker wrote:Not that Piccolo vs hit would be anything short of freaking amazing, but if Gohan gets two shotted, how is piccolo gonna even look at him before hit kills him..namekiansaiyan wrote: Piccolo stalls for time and starts defending.

If Piccolo could be a little stronger he would be the best counter for Hit with the giant form and multi form technique.
With Gohan I dont see how he will be calm enough not to get angry and rush Hit.
Hit would be scared of Beerus and surely Hit will have to fail at some point during the whole arc or Goku will stay permanently dead.
Goku could die once and be revived but Hit will not go after him again since he technically already killed him and that could keep his flawless record intact Hit then could help Goku and the others.

He's an 1000 year old assassin. He can accept the contract or decline it. But not following through on a contract he's accepted would probably cause irreparable damage to his career and reputation. You might want hit to be one of the good guys lol but he's an assassin, he does what he's told and he's been told to kill goku. There might be a twist but that would be anticlimaticPluto wrote:What are the chances that, Hit, sees Goku's killing as not feasible?

If this was Dragonball, I am certain piccolo would go giant, it had a knack for using techniques gracefully to counter stronger foes..namekiansaiyan wrote: I was going to go into more detail with the Piccolo and I was going to mention bis giant form as it would be a great counter move but I dont think Toei are smart enough to do that. Wouldn't it be great for writer to think let's make piccolo giant! It would be a good callback!
A pattern I have noticed is the writers tend to show similar ideas throughout the episode or kind of foreshadowing, they showed hit holding a small goku hologram, I wouldn't be surprised if that scene motivates someome to make piccolo go big and bold a small hit..
I can't explain it too well, but you get the idea..
The Gohan situation can go two places, either he gets mad and rushes to his demise..
Or he gets mad and Piccolo calms him down and they take on hit together..
It all comes down to how in character piccolo is..
I would certainly like the 2nd situation better.. that would be sight to watch..

I would not mind a Piccolo and Gohan team up but before they do it would be funny if Gohan rushes in looking powerful but Piccolo stretches him his arm and grabs him by the face like he did in episode 30 and brings him back to the ground do calm him down.Ki Breaker wrote:If this was Dragonball, I am certain piccolo would go giant, it had a knack for using techniques gracefully to counter stronger foes..namekiansaiyan wrote: I was going to go into more detail with the Piccolo and I was going to mention bis giant form as it would be a great counter move but I dont think Toei are smart enough to do that.
