Toei's "fillers" have been amazing for more than one reason

Reason 1: They're just fucking good
Reason 2: No back-patting by Toei at all. No referencing their beloved DBZ filler, little to no Z anime-exclusive characters (Gregory and Satan's entourage are exceptions, but they're inconsequential enough), and no theatrical movie villains.

It must be pretty strenuous for Toei, considering how they've got a history of elevating their original material (with no Toriyama involvement) at every turn. I'm glad their new stories break this trend, not to mention they're simply much better.

Episode 70, 71 and 42 are my 1st, 2nd and 3rd favourite episodes of Super respectively. They are memorable and are not boring and full with stupidness like other arcs, in dragon ball super.

I was thinking that just yesterday, regardless of what you think of Super as a whole the filler in general has all been pretty good. Certainly better than the filler in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. I even prefer it to the episodes of GT. Even compared to filler from other series it's much better.

That and it does feel integrated to the story by providing character development and is referenced in Toriyama episodes. I know Toei does that to most other filler, but here it just makes it better, not worse.

You don't need fancy animation to produce something beautiful. You need love for the source material.
Look at the Arale episode

I take Garlic jr. over an argument for a wish or that Arale episode anytime.

I never said this for the countless anime I watched but, I enjoy the filler episodes
And That is a very big deal..
supers filler is sometimes much more interesting than the story itself

I wouldn't say DBZ filler was bad. Most of the Saiyan saga filler was enjoyable and let us see how the characters were training, and a lot of the Cell saga filler was enjoyable too. The Buu arc had some of the best filler IMO.

It was really only the Namek-era filler where Toei went to hell, particularly fake Namek, some of the extra Bulma scenes, and the padding of Goku/Freeza.

I kinda want reason 2 to be broken so we can see Pikkon and Olibu again. They were cool.

Assuming that these are "filler" stories.
How do you know Toriyama didn't script this outline as well?
Portofeou was even mentioned in this current arc.
