Gohan narrating the preview...a sign? (And a question to his fans)
I'm not one of the rabid fanbase that desperately wants Gohan to do something. But as he narrated the preview for episode 72 really does seem odd. I wonder if he really will do something this time around...
...Also I will ask something. How would you feel if he indeed does something? How would you feel? Would you complain "it came out of nowhere" or you would be happy?

It doesn't seem like he'll fight Hit at all in the next episode based on the preview. But they're probably foreshadowing Gohan's return to being a fighter since we know he's in the upcoming tournament arc.

Rabid fanbase, ha.
Gohan narrating could have been to show that goku is dead, but they fucked up with the preview, is what I think happened.
I would feel fantastic of course, and so would many others who are tired of seeing goku and Vegeta do all the work

There has been zero foreshadowing of Gohan. Even in the poster he seems to be at the back and hiding. Him not fighting with glasses or a tracksuit means nothing.precita wrote:It doesn't seem like he'll fight Hit at all in the next episode based on the preview. Gohan fighting does not equal becoming stronger at all.

Nah. It's probably because Goku is dead right now and having him suddenly be alive to narrate how he's dead would be really weird.
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

Keep telling yourself that. You're the one who kept telling people to forget about him, that he was only a memory and that's not true at all.namekiansaiyan wrote:There has been zero foreshadowing of Gohan. I wouldn't getting your hopes up for anything great. it's only a matter of time until the writers bury him again.

I wanted to put that in my post too. Even if he does get to have a moment for himself, Toriyama and the other writers will put him out of commission again.

Goku's dead. Preview needs a narrator. Easy to understand why they picked Gohan, no reason to get anyone's hopes up over this small thing. Though it happens a lot, even with his very minor appearances.

What could Gohan do apart from get himself killed as well?

My thoughts exactly.Makai wrote:Goku's dead. Preview needs a narrator. Easy to understand why they picked Gohan, no reason to get anyone's hopes up over this small thing. Though it happens a lot, even with his very minor appearances.
Off topic: Gohan had his moment of shine. Then again Trunks was fighting at God level so who knows what kind of bs Toriyama and co will pull. At this point nothing surprises me anymore with Super.
I love Dragon Ball so much that I'm constantly complaining about how horrible Super is.
Black Goku / Future Trunks saga... was/is garbage.
Top 5 Favorite DBS Characters = Beerus, Whis, still waiting on the last 3 lol...

That was before it was a 10 man team. Obviously he will participate when there is that many members.Kagari wrote:Keep telling yourself that. Gohan's muscles and gi are definite proof he's gotten stronger. The man has been training.namekiansaiyan wrote:That was before it was a 10 man team. Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
