Could have Yamcha sped up enough to make it back and see #18 VS Vegeta's fight?

After leaving sick Goku with Chi Chi, could he have had made it back in time to see Vegeta and 18 fight? Or would the distances be too far away?

Considering he can probably fly as fast as Piccolo did when he was on Namek, and remember it took Piccolo a while to fly toward where Freeza was fighting from where they brought him back to, I'd say yeah.

With Vegeta and No. 18's battle placed at "Area A-3: North Central" and Goku's home being marked in "Area B-4: Central East" (Dragon World reference), I don't think Yamcha will eat up too much time arriving by himself.

He said beforehand that he felt he was the least useful one present. I don't think that was under scrutiny. It's why he volunteered to take Goku home instead of letting Kuririn do it. To my recollection, I don't think anyone questioned why he never returned. The next time he's present in the story, he's giving Goku the heart disease medicine, I think.
