Bra will be born, then what?

Post by Ki Breaker » Sat Jan 07, 2017 6:13 am

So what is all the hype about? Is she really that much if an interesting character for some, what qualities did she show that are appreciated so much..
On the other hand, now that she is gonna be born, what are the chances super is visiting eoz after this arc?

My version would have super end after eoz then starting a new Dragonball with a year or so of preproduction

First of all, she's not born yet. We don't know if the birth will actually happen in Episode 77.
Bulla being in Super means that the final big thing missing for us to properly connect Super to EoZ has arrived. Now the five years line is the only thing that doesn't fit, but that was quickly ignored even in GT, so it doesn't matter that much. She shows us that the continuity is still there. Closing the circuit, so to speak.
Outside of that, she is adorable and the potential for good slice of life is immense. Vegeta and baby Bulla together could be a gold mine. There's also the Multiverse Bra thing, but I don't talk about that.
Probably Kanzenshuu's biggest Bulla fangirl. Current avatar: DBU Bulla as Sailor Princess Sadala, based on Sailor Moon: Cosmic Dance

I did mention that in the description, but changed the title nonetheless now

She'll grow old, find her passions and ways of giving meaning to her time in this fleeting existence, then die as each of us does in this impermanent flickering candle's flame of a life.

It might give Vegeta extra motivation to win the tournament, as he wouldn't want his newly born daughter to be killed along his family and all of U7. It also means Bra hasn't been forgotten and that we are indeed in Age 780/781 and EoZ is still happening minus Bulma line which can be retconned into 5 months/whatever fits instead of 5 years.

We still don't know if Super is going to get past EoZ. I honestly hope Toriyama has new plans for a new ending of Goku's story. The fact Toriyama wrote the line appearing in both the anime and the manga about how 80 years old Saiyan are still considered young could mean he has plans for a lot of new stories. It's not even that hard for him to write new stories now considering he just has to design new characters and scenarios and come up with a story.

It's still all speculation though, anything can happen

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Because seeing Vegeta actually raising a girl is awesome.

Maybe Vegeta destroying the ROSAT will get punished by having an opposite ROSAT age Bra so she's physically older than Pan and motivates Vegeta even more into having a daddy's little princess relationship with Bra.

I never understood why she couldn't fight (being a half saiyan) versus Pan who is 1/4 saiyan? Her brother is also the strongest half-blooded saiyan/person there is (besides Vegeta/Goku). It would be cool if Toriyama changed his mind and made her a fighter. My guess is Bulma wouldn't allow her to train/fight.

Thanks to this, we can know where we are in the DB timeline for sure (last months of 780), the new arc will probably begin in 781.

Then... nothing. Unless Toriyama has any plans for her, should Super last for several years, or should Toriyama even still be creatively involved in the plot of the show, nothing will come of her character in any significance.

I agree, and i doubt that we'll see a time skip now.

This is why I didn't understand the hope for her to be born during this show. They already don't do anything with most of the other Saiyans bar an episode here or there, and since she's female than there's an even lesser of a chance.

Well, she'll have to go through her high school prostitution phase eventually...

...honestly, I don't think we'll hit the Twenty-Eighth Tenka'ichi Budoukai era even with Bra born. Dragon Ball Super can keep going in the same era for a long while thanks to Japanese literature's perception of time. All Bra will bring is more gags for Blooma.

Well, It's not like I expect her to be a relevant character in the future or anything, but I've been waiting a long time for her to finally be born and for Pan/Trunks/Goten/Marron to age. Bra being born brings a good chance for the mentioned characters to finally grow.

Not to mention the last time we saw Vegeta with his baby, he didn't give a shit about him and let him almost die. Now that Vegeta has drastically changed, it would be very interesting how he would treat his baby, and it could potentially make a lot of good scenarios and slice-of-life episodes in the future.

When Bra is born, does that mean she will have the boost that half-saiyans have? And she will be the only half-saiyan born from a man who possesses God-Ki.

It's weird cos this is a bit of an important episode upcoming since it is the only story we'll have about Bra's birth so if Toriyama isn't writing it there will be a lot of canon debates for the questions like "is this actually the story of Bra's birth?" because Toriyama always skipped this sort of thing in the manga so my guess is that there will be a timeskip for the Universal Survival arc and that Toriyama had Bra written into the new story so Toei were like "why not do an episode showing Bulma pregnant with her?", either that or there's a timeskip in the new arc and Toei decided to add in Bra (maybe Toyotaro will too)

Episode 77 about Bra is the start of the new arc with a new opening.
