Why does Tenshinhan never get any filler episodes?

It seems with Super they give episodes for everyone, even Yamcha gets an episode.

But Tenshihan never gets any fillers. I know he might be hard to make an episode about in peacetime, but really, guy is totally absent.

Also, Tien has been described as a recluse, so his absence is in line with his canon depictions.

Since Watagash escaped again, maybe have him come back to Earth and posses Tao Pai Pai, and Tien has to stop him. Maybe even have him seek Crane again, and we get more history on the Crane School.

Plus Chaotzu could help Tien out too. Use his powers to help him fight Watagash-TaoPaiPai with Tien.

You'd have a point if he wasn't in Super just as much as the rest of the old DB crew. Tenshinhan leaving was backpedaled on ages ago.

There's not a lot that can be done with him, him training with chiaotzu for whole episode if that dosen't increase his power considerably is pretty pointless..
And It's not too interesting to see a gay couple go at it for most people

Because Tien is, frankly, not a dynamic character at all.

He's less of a people person than Piccolo and Vegeta so the episode of his daily life would be rather limited in character interactions
He's more stoic than Piccolo and Vegeta so he somehow gets even less gags than them
He's not got any big personal issues to overcome unlike Krillin or even Gohan, his only issue is not being a Saiyan
He's not a memetic character with a special skill like Yamcha(baseball in this case)
His career is the same as Goku's; a farmer. So we see that daily life through Goku.
The only person he interacts with on a daily basis us Chiaoutzu who is considered by many to be a flat character. Flatter than even Puar.
He's aromantic so he doesn't have any romantic angles like Goku, Vegeta, Krillin or Gohan
He doesn't really have any quirk to focus on.

That doesn't mean you CAN'T do things with Tien of course. Personally I'd love to see him(and Chiaoutzu) and Goku have a farming rivalry episode, but there's not as much base material with Tenshinhan to bounce off of as there are with other characters.

Tien is kinda dull really personality wise ever since he became a heroic figure.

What was Tien's filler eps in DBZ? I don't remember any, unless you just mean all the humans training together in the Saiyan saga and on Kami's palace. But that focused on all of them as a whole.

Youtube isn't a very good judge of how popular Tenshinhan is in comparison to Kuririn (and even Yamcha).

I agree with part of this as well. You can find something to do with Tenshinhan, but he really has just been played straight as an even bigger stoic than Piccolo and Vegeta. After the 22nd Tournament saga, I lost interest in him.

For what it's worth, Tenshinhan wasn't always such a humorless character. One of his earliest special moves is the ridiculous "Volleyball-Fist" of all things.

As soon as Piccolo and Vegeta entered the main cast, though, Tenshinhan really lost his niche. The two of them also lend themselves better to comedy scenes at their expense.

Bringing up his statement that he'd never see the main cast again was a bit of a joke, but I really do feel writing him out on his own terms was a decent way to see him off. Or, at least it was when the series ended with the Boo arc.

Because he pushed Semi Perfect Cell back. Krillin's more timid personality probably also factors in, but mostly the Semi Perfect Cell push.

Yeah, that definitely has to be the case. I don't know why they hate Arale though, maybe because it doesn't follow their "logic" or stuff like that.
I'd say his build plays an important part too. He's buff enough already, if his shoulders get any bigger, he's definitely an alien

I liked his personality in the King Piccolo arc and even when he was first introduced. But yeah, ever since then its been downhill for the character. He's background decoration at this point like so many other characters now.
