Did Viz alter the title page section?

Here's a question that's been bothering me for some time. In the early DBZ volumes up until the final Cell Saga volume, the Title Page Gallery for the most part started off with a title page that was most likely shrunken down and fit into a little border to give more room for the the Title Page Explanation Box ("These Title Pages were used when these chapters of Dragon Ball were originally published" blah blah...). If you don't know what I'm talking about, then here's a scan (yes, I finally got a scanner!) of one from DBZ volume 11/tankoubon 27:



However, every now and then, the Title Page Gallery would start off with a title page that was clearly not resized in any way. But then, if you were to go further a few pages, you would stumble into the same style of image as the one above. Just for clarification, here's a picture of an unaltered title page "opener" from DBZ volume 12/tankoubon 28:



Now... my questions is, "Are these changes different in the tankoubon volumes, or was this just a Viz goof-up?" and "If this was in the tankoboun, then why were the resized images that weren't the first in the Title Page Gallery kept resized?"

Yes... I gotta find a way to shorten my questions ...

Wow, I can't reference my tankoubon right now but I'm pretty sure the title page section always started with the altered image by default. I can't imagine any reason for that kind of change in the viz version. I'm almost positive I never ran into a resized image past the first title page. Afterall, I'm not sure but I thought they were arranged in order of the chapters. Try checking the chapter titles that appear on each page and see if they're in chronological order or not.

Well from what I checked, the Title Page Gallery's title pages are all in order, skipping a few chapters occasionally, since those ones are actually put at the beginning of its corresponding chapter.

Here's one point of interest I forgot to include in my last post: Some of the title pages are for chapters that aren't even in that volume! For example, the Trunks Arc chapters are split between volumes 12 and 13, even the chapters corresponding to those title pages are in volume 12 ... so confused.
